Director David Yates recently teased that a familiar
Harry Potter character will return in form in the second
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film, which he will helm for a November 2018 release.
Quote:
David Yates: "There is a mention of some characters that we know and love from previous movies, but we only talk about them fleetingly," Yates told Reuters.
"In the next movie, part two, we'll get to meet one of them in a significant way. He's much younger than he used to be, but he'll be coming back."
A previous trailer for the first
Fantastic Beasts movie already revealed that Professor Dumbledore was mentioned as supporting Newt Scamander after he was expelled from Hogwarts. No word yet on if Dumbledore is the character in question, who would undoubtedly be around 70 years younger than he was in the
Harry Potter series.
The casting for Dumbledore or this elusive character has yet to take place, though it may be doubtful that Sir Michael Gambon, now 75, would be back to portray the Transfiguration professor at 45 years old around the years 1926-1927.
