Rumors are abound that
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, parts I and II, could be headed to Broadway as early as next summer, according to a new report.
Reportedly, the two-part installment of Harry Potter's eighth story may come to the Toronto, Canada theater scene before heading to Broadway in the 'next season', which in theater terms would run from May 2017-May 2018.
There is currently no confirmation of the production moving beyond its London debut, though many involved, including author J.K. Rowling, are hopeful that it tours worldwide. Several of the lead actors of the London plays, including Noma Dumezweni (Hermione Granger) and Sam Clemmett (Albus Potter) admitted that their contracts run through next May.

They haven’t yet announced a Broadway engagement for “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” but New York theater people say it’s only a matter of time. Word is that Friedman and Callender are in negotiations for a Shubert theater possibly for next season. They may hit Toronto first, however.
