Hair Colour: Blonde
Eye Colour: Brown/Green
Height: 6 feet 0 inches
Distinguishing Features: Rooney is now rarely seen without glasses on as his eyesight had progressively gotten worse over the years. There have been magical offers to fix his sight, but he much prefers the comfort of his glasses than being without. For a few months in the later half of 2091, Rooney switched to contact lenses but did not get along well with them during lengthy study sessions and so he went back to his glasses come January 2092.
Current Face Claim: Tom Fletcher
Previous Face Claim: Bertie Gilbert (until late fifth year), Mason Vale Cotton (until late third year)
Past Injuries: Broken foot after jumping from a tree to receive his prefect letter (2089), Broken nose 1 after a fight with Takeru Asakura (2090), Broken nose 2, bruises and burns after another fight with Takeru Asakura (2091),

Personality:
Likes: Life on stage, namely the art of musical theatre, spotlight effects, long novels, formal greetings, being the centre of attention, lyric references, recreating pivotal scenes from things, comfort food (chicken nuggets, chips and cheese puffs are great), kissing, analytical discussions
Dislikes: Contact lenses, sharing his friends with other people, not being able to read the emotions of others, other males, his birth father, Brinlee relying on him as much as she does, not being able to talk someone into thinking he is right,
Habits: Reaching to push his hair back despite it now being shorter, meowing when being affectionate, using words to hurt the feelings of people he cares about if he expects they are about to walk away from him, dwelling on the things people have done previously to others, learns everything there is to know about something if he is interested in it, writing down records of every conversation and interaction with others,

Pre-Hogwarts (2075 – 2086)
At the time of his birth, Rooney’s parents were in an extremely good place with their relationship. They had been dating seriously for three years and were splitting their time between each of their individual houses in Surrey, England (Lachlan’s) and New York (Tamzin’s). Long distance was difficult when they were apart, but for the sake of their newborn, they made every effort to stay happy and in love. Tamzin had already established her fashion career in the UK, the USA and Australia prior to Rooney’s birth and when the tot was six month old, his father moved to New York to be with his family full time, although he did travel back to the UK for work very often. This lasted for only a year, and by March 2077 the family had dispersed once more into two homes on either side of the ocean.

Besotted with her son and invested in her company, Tamzin had failed to notice her fiancé’s wrongdoings until her home was full of police officers and Lachlan was being arrested for multiple counts of fraud, kidnapping and a multitude of illegal activities. Immediately, Tamzin called off her engagement with Lachlan and was taken into protective custody with Rooney to avoid any repercussions of Lachlan using her name in his businesses. Whilst in a location undisclosed, Tamzin discovered that she was expecting her second child with Lachlan. Rooney actually only remembers seeing his father being taken away by police from this time period and then fast forwards in his memories to his sister Brinlee being born. It was strange to Roo, and others, that his younger sister had been given his mother’s surname and not their fathers and the true paternity of Brinlee has been debated on multiple occasions. Tamzin insists that Lachlan is Brinlee’s real father, but the arguments have caused a rift between the children and their paternal grandparents. No contact has been established since Brinlee was a few months old, a year after Lachlan was originally arrested.

In the years to come, Rooney welcomed a new man into his mother’s life and became emotionally attached to Dexter’s daughter Calliope. The duo are born in the same year, only months apart, and when the whole family moved to London for Dex and Tamzin to be together full time, it was decided that both of the oldest children would attend Hogwarts together when the time came to it. Uniting the Bronwyn and Wood/Allerby families was a winter wedding in Paris where Dexter also adopted both Rooney and Brinlee, making them feel part of the family as a whole and giving them a real father figure in their lives, instead of pseudo-fathers in their mother’s friends.

Rooney had been prepared to attend Hogwarts since his mother let him in on videos of his early magical ability, and spent a lot of his time doing research into the Wizarding World and the castle he was hoping to spend seven whole years in. He had his heart set on any of the four houses, fully equipped for life as a Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff; and also decided that he was going to strive to be a Prefect for his house, following in the footsteps of his mother and Godmother, Elodie Robertser (class of 2084). Following this, he has decided that he wants to be just like Leonard Spencer-Moon and work his way up to being Minister of Magic.

First Year (2086 – 2087 / Term 40)
During the summer before he attended Hogwarts, Rooney gained a whole bunch of items to his collection that he had been wanting for a very long time. In fact, the boy had saved up as much of his pocket money as he could for years just to afford a wand by himself without the economic assistance of his mother – something which he found so much independence in. His 11th birthday present from his parents was a ginger cat, which he went on to call Pomegranate due to his current love of the food. (Side note: the love lasted about a month and now the thought of it makes him sick) Upon his entrance to Hogwarts, Rooney Bronwyn was sorted into the house of Ravenclaw and decided that it wasn’t actually a bad thing. From what he knew of the house, it was for those with intellect galore and Roo knew that that was all he would be about during his academic life. His first year at the castle was not too eventful, just that he adopted a pet rock (Winston – R.I.P bud) and spent a lot of the year running love letters between Whyttyr Capello of Ravenclaw and Nemo Grimm of Gryffindor. His favourite lesson of the term had to be the Ancient Runes class held by Professor A. Botros where Rooney was able to use his acting skills to be Loki alongside Miss Hady Lynch and Mister Zeke Browne.

Second Year (2087 – 2088 / Term 41)
The beginning of his second year at Hogwarts brought the wickedly eventful change of Headteacher at Hogwarts. Gone was Head Red (Headmistress Truebridge) and it was hello to Miss Charlotte Hannah Kettleburn, one of the most interesting people that Rooney had encountered in the castle. He actually went on to develop a slight crush on the Gryffindor girl, originally coming from the fact she was so super determined to be a Ravenclaw. Part of him was sure she would have made an excellent Ravenclaw, but that Gryffindor house was extremely lucky to have her in their midst. During a Christmas event, Rooney and Charlotte received letters at the tree decoration for their Secret Santa from one another, even though it was totally anonymous and totally obvious. Gasp.

Rooney was not the only boy that Charlotte was friends with, though, and because he was so very confused as to who her mysterious boyfriend was, he assumed that it was every boy he saw her with. Including David Truebridge, Blaise Bellaire and Oliver Borzekowski-Thomas. He had a whole lot of dislike for those boys, although he ended up becoming friends with the Truebridge boy and was even invited to his tea party for a Muggle Studies homework exercise. Another male that Rooney Bronwyn struggled to get along with was Zander Adair, who was dating Miss Sophie Brown, Head Girl of Rooney’s Heart and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There was HATE. There was distaste. There was absolute disgust. Zander was very unaware as to why the second year disliked him to this extent, but Rooney continued to want to steal his girl at his first convenience. Speaking of girls, Rooney received his first and second cheek kisses this year. The first from Reagan Penrose and the second from Miss Sophie Brown herself. Rooney took part in Duelling Club this year and could not decide whether he liked it or not. He duelled both Colt Winchester and Blaise Bellaire this term.

Third Year (2088 – 2089 / Term 42)
As with every term, Rooney was having to come to terms with someone not returning to the castle come September and this year it was the love of his life, Miss Sophie Brown, Queen of Hogwarts. He had expected her to rethink graduating and actually return to this castle, leading to him crashing the Prefect Compartment on the train to Hogwarts, much to the distaste of his new Prefects. His heart was broken without the older Ravenclaw being there to make him feel good about himself and honestly…he may have wrote to his parents multiple times to be removed from school and educated at home as he had been before Hogwarts. Hogwarts could not be home without Miss Sophie Brown. Despite his heartbreak, Rooney was caught up in the food fight at the Start of Term Feast where his precious notebook got covered in thrown food (HERE’S LOOKING AT YOU, STINKY GRYFFINDORS). Professor Flamsteed used magic to make it rain on all of the students and so Rooney Bronwyn treated everyone to a performance of Singin’ In The Rain on the Ravenclaw table. It was here that he noticed a new Gryffindor girl who was full of life and into the whole performance side of things. Introducing, Miss Olivia Lynn Phillips. The next girl to confuse the boy beyond anything. The two spent a considerable amount of time together, bonding over their love of Disney, performing arts and music in places around the castle including the Music Classroom.

As if girls had not been enough of a problem for the third year, he proceeded to get into trouble with his Prefect, Miss Penelope Wright, who found him in the girls bathroom after trying to get Katherine Moss to evacuate so he could have some tinkle time. The event did not go without drama and Rooney ended up wetting himself and falling into the toilet in his attempt to hide. When he wasn’t snooping around the girls bathroom, Rooney was letting his hair grow out at the same sort of rate that his body was growing. He was a growing boy, and growing boys needed to get their lips ready for kissing. His intentions were that Miss Charlotte Kettleburn was going to be his first kiss before the school year was out so that he could attend drama camp and have an on stage kiss if he needed to. HOWEVER, Miss Charlotte still had that pesky boyfriend. For a while… Until Rooney Bronwyn encountered her at the Bronze Knocker by tempting her with a note to say he had done her homework for a whole month. He explained that he wanted her to be his first kiss and she let him know that she had broken up with her OLDER boyfriend and that Rooney himself was BOYFRIEND MATERIAL (!!) but she couldn’t possibly kiss him yet because she couldn’t waste him on a rebound. Rooney, understandably, was very confused by all of this and in a trick to get a hug, Charlotte and Rooney shared their first kiss. Or…some sort of kiss. More like lips to nose and then a whole lot of laughing. It was something though, right? Eventually the pair did have their first proper kiss together and it then started to become a regular thing. The kissing and the holding hands.

Learning to kiss was not the only thing that Rooney learnt this year, as he started to enjoy Care of Magical Creatures and began to teach himself some new instruments that would help him win over more girls. Towards the end of term, Rooney almost became food for the DISGUSTING HAG PROFESSOR and ended up saving Kitty Valentine from her. This was the last year that Rooney was at Hogwarts without his younger sister Brinlee. Rooney duelled against Esme Darcy, Sebastien Toussaint and Rula Botros this term.

Fourth Year (2089 – 2090 / Term 43)
During the summer before his fourth year at Hogwarts, Rooney attended a summer drama camp ran by a Muggle company. The intention behind his choice of camp this year was to keep his name relevant in the acting world outside of the Wizarding World, and he achieved a part in the chorus and the role of second understudy to the lead in the camp final show. During his time there, he spotted an owl in a tree and recognised the type of envelope that was attached to it’s foot – a Hogwarts letter! It was very weird to him for his textbook list to be forwarded to him from his parents and automatically assumed that he was being kicked out for something awful or perhaps the school had burned to the ground. Uh oh. Rooney jumped to climb the tree and retrieve the letter from the owl and in the shock at receiving his PREFECT letter (!!!), he fell from the tree and broke his arm two days before the final show, having to perform with his arm in a cast. Uh oh. Because his parents had been preoccupied the previous summer and missed his thirteenth birthday, the Bronwyn family threw a big birthday bash for him in August at his Godmother’s house. At this party, he spent time with both Miss Charlotte and Miss Olivia and told them both about the badge he had gotten in the post. He loved it enough that he was wearing it every day and every hour…unless he was in the shower. Though if he could have, then he would have.

Upon his return to Hogwarts, Rooney encountered the Prefect Compartment for the second time and was greeted by his co-prefect and Miss Sophie Brown’s successor, Miss Penelope Wright. Immediately, Rooney was thrown into using his newfound Prefect status when he had to confront Noah Diggory and Sabbath Giminez in the boys dorms after they had an altercation at the feast the night previous. Rooney expressed his distaste for Sabbath and this continued when the boys came into contact once more in Mr. Kitridge’s Office when Rooney was there asking why he had been made Prefect and where his predecessor, Thornton Baines, had gone. During this meeting, Sabbath name-dropped Miss Charlotte and the fact that he was sending flowers to her and Rooney was furious to say the least.

This was just the start of his Charlotte related drama for this term as it progressively got a lot worse. A good part of the term for the two of them was the school trip to Sweden, where Rooney made sure to have Miss Char accompany him to the stands, where he was hoping to give her the pet fish he had gotten for her. The fish that he never did give to her as it had died on the way to Sweden. Whoops. Charlotte Kettleburn is one of those girls that has a lot of friends and one of them is Blaise Bellaire, the butthead. During a Herbology class this year, Rooney and Blaise verbally clashed and ended up losing points – a first for the Ravenclaw and it ultimately broke his heart. He won those points back by redecorating one of the areas Professor Myers had set up for students to spend free time, and started to mend his relationship with Oliver Borzekowski-Thomas during this time. Rooney was called to meet with Professor Myers and was greeted with Blaise Bellaire and another confrontation! There was a Charlotte related bicker and Blaise ended up in the water with Rooney storming away…livid. To this day, he still thinks that Blaise and Charlotte were kissing and has not yet forgiven Charlotte for that.

Rooney’s girl drama continued with an incident in the Potions Test Lab with Hadley Denaker and Jaemin Song. Rooney, under the influence of a love potion, got himself engaged to Miss Hadley who was besotted with Jaemin. This love triangle resulted in Rooney pinning Jaemin to the floor and a whole lot of drama, but of course…drama is all that anyone would expect from Rooney Bronwyn. Sticking with Hadley Denaker, Rooney came across her and Miss Penelope Wright in the Common Room as Hadley was under the influence of something that caused her to trash both the girls dorms and the reading area. Because Penelope was freaking out, Rooney decided to place a smacker on her lips and gave her a kiss that she would never forget. But was she the only girl that Rooney kissed this year? Oh definitely not! This year, Rooney took Charlotte Kettleburn on their first date in Hogsmeade and continued to have lip action with her until just after Christmas when he told her in a letter that he had been kissing another Gryffindor. No, no, not any that you’ve heard of before now. But Miss Minnie Darling, who on Valentines Day became Rooney’s first ever girlfriend!! However, he was not the best of boyfriends and ended up kissing his best friend Olivia Phillips towards the end of term when they received their acceptance letters into WADA’s Summer Programme.

This year, Rooney duelled against Rula Botros, Charlotte Kettleburn and Esme Darcy.

Fifth Year (2090 – 2091 / Term 44)
The summer before his fifth year was full of love, spotlight and drama. Rooney attended a summer programme at WADA with Olivia Phillips, where they took classes and lived like proper students under the watchful eye of Miss Phyllis Grimaldi (who is completely a Queen to them) and took part in frequent showcases. His life at home was frayed to say the least after he found out the true identity of his birth father from his mother and exactly why his father was in prison. Technically, Rooney already knew all of the things that he was told, but he was more upset that his mother had not told him all of these things before now. Rooney struggled properly to understand how he was the product of such an awful man and it hit him hard, to the point where he temporarily moved into his Aunt Elodie’s house, turning the boathouse into a bedroom.

It was over this summer that Rooney decided it was definitely the time to break up with Minnie Darling as he just did not like her as much as he did any other girl. The truth was that he wanted to kiss his best friend again and couldn’t whilst he had a girlfriend. He shared his plans with Olivia on the train to Hogwarts. On the train, he also found out that his new co-prefect was going to be Kitty Valentine and the decision to badge her confused him beyond belief. On his way to the bathroom after the feast, Rooney was greeted with the sight of his girlfriend and during a verbal showdown, she dumped him before he was able to dump her and revealed that she had kissed someone else to get back at him for kissing Olivia during their relationship. Minnie refused to tell him who it was, but later in the year he found out that it was one of his dorm mates, Vincent Ferrari. The staff of Hogwarts changed over this school year and Rooney and Olivia were made aware that their new Charms Professor was named GASTON. Professor Myers let them in on this secret and the three decided that it was in everyones best interests to serenade Professor Gaston Marchand with songs from Beauty and the Beast.

Despite taking Olivia as his date to the Prefect event, Taco’ween, Rooney found himself torn between kissing her whenever he wanted and then the one time that he kissed Miss Charlotte Kettleburn…potentially against her will. Rooney struck up a friendship with Katherine Toussaint this year after he defended her family name in an altercation with Blaise Bellaire which led to Rooney storming out of a DADA class hosted by his Head of House. Someone that he did not make his friend was Takeru Asakura and the boys had two physical fights this year, both leaving Rooney with a broken nose. The first fight was won by Rooney and the second by Takeru and on both occasions, Olivia was left to tend to the wounded. The boys were definitely fighting over her. Between those two fights, Rooney and Olivia actually fell out in an almighty argument at their first date and then made up a short while later, promising to only be a-smoochin’ with one another.

To give himself some sort of career direction, Rooney auditioned for the role of Link in Hairspray and was offered it. Ultimately, he turned the role down to stay at Hogwarts and let his friendship and relationship with Olivia blossom back to the best it could be – but also because his birth father had been sending letters to him about the Gryffindor. After making the decision to continue his education over his career, Rooney and Olivia FINALLY decided to make their relationship official and became boyfriend and girlfriend in the run up to Rooney sitting his OWL exams. He plastered the student bulletin board in posters to announce their relationship and showered the entire Great Hall in confetti love notes for Olivia at the end of term feast.

This term, Rooney duelled against Silas Anakin, Aslan Evans and once again… Rula Botros.

Sixth Year (2091 – 2092 / Term 45)
Upon his return to the castle, Rooney went to meet with his Head of House to discuss the awful awful OWL grades he had received. Professor Hirsch informed him that there was nothing to be disappointed with, but still Rooney had not achieved a full sweep of Outstanding grades and it was very sad for him. On top of that, they discussed the fact that Rooney’s birth father was going to be getting out of prison come New Year and that if Rooney desired it, Roderik would accompany him to visit Lachlan Allerby. All of this only added to the extra stress of his relationship with Olivia slowly breaking down due to a traumatic event in her life over the summer. Instead of breaking up though, the two stayed together and struggled on through everything that was to happen to them. They both took the same first year under their wing and became a little trio with Carlton Lewis who became almost like their son that they worked together with in class and Rooney tutored in magic throughout the year.

A low moment for Rooney this year was during an Astronomy Class where he overstepped his mark and made some unkind comments to the Professor in regards to her teaching and her experience in the subject. After class, Rooney felt awful about it and knew that people had ideas about him because of it, but proceeded to stick to his guns about what he had said. Although he had spoken out of turn, he still believed in the things that he thought and the comments that he had made. From this event, he really learned that there was a time and a place. During another class this year, Rooney saw the candy gram that he had sent to Miss Charlotte Kettleburn get delivered and it hurt her feelings. He spent the best part of this year taking out a lot of his frustrations about Olivia and his father on those close to him, including Charlotte, his sister Brinlee and Olivia herself. He was actually confronted by Charlotte’s male pal Henry Whittebrook in the library about that candy gram. Later, after an ordeal, Rooney returned to the library and apologised to Charlotte in the only way he knew how. Rudely.

During a heated argument, Rooney and Olivia split up due to their equally stubborn personalities and Olivia’s parents had her removed from Hogwarts in early February. Also during February, Rooney was taken from the greenhouses by a portal and sent to an alternate version of Hogwarts. He found himself in this world with Henry and Carlton and the three went through a big experience where they encountered a monster that was willing to have them for lunch and still get to Hogwarts for dinner. Rooney tried to sacrifice himself to save the other two boys, accepting that he was probably about to be monster food but things worked out in a way that they were able to get out of the strange world. Upon their return, the boys found out that they had been missing for almost a whole week, but only after Rooney was sick on the Head Girl, Natalia Franks-Mundie. The boys were overwhelmed by the amount of people there, including staff from the Ministry of Magic who were nothing short of rude in trying to retrieve the boys memories and samples from them.

The trio were admitted to the Hospital Wing under the care of Healer Reed, where they were looked after around the clock for a few days to take care of the exhaustion, stress and the physical issues that they had developed in the portal. Rooney, eventually overtaken by the emotional stress and nightmares of it all, snapped his wand in two and locked himself in the bathroom to cry away from the ever-watchful eyes of Healer Reed and the other two boys. Whilst in the Hospital Wing, Rooney was kissed by Minnie Darling and it made for problems later on in the term when Olivia returned to school and the pair tried to patch things up. As of right now, Rooney and Olivia are not together officially but are working on themselves to be right for one another in time. They have set up #rules for their agreement to see other people during this time, including that neither one hears about the other persons love life and that they do not fall in love with another.

This year, due to the events with the portal, Rooney only took part in one duel against Leon Kennedy, who he went on to build a solid friendship with throughout the year.

Seventh Year (2092 – 2093 / Term 46)
Over the summer, Rooney attended a WADA funded drama camp where he took part in rehearsals, choreography classes and workshops on things such as posture, professionality and determination. He was given the lead role in the end of camp performance, which was accompanied by the fantastic news that he had been made Head Boy at Hogwarts, something that he had dreamed of since he was a young boy.
