Calliope is a determined and sharply ambitious young witch, the kind of person who can’t not strive for excellence even when she pretends not to care. Born into opulence as the daughter of a globally recognized rock star and an effortlessly elegant supermodel, Calliope was raised in the glittering eye of the public. Paparazzi flashbulbs and high-profile parties were her version of normal, but she’s never been fully comfortable in that world... nor entirely disdainful of it either. She moves through privilege with practiced ease, knowing how to wear the mask, how to give just enough charm to pass, all while maintaining an emotional distance. Her poise is curated but not false or purposefully snobbish ― mostly. Calliope’s spoiled, yes, but not in the careless, tantrum-throwing sort of way. She's sharply aware of her own advantages and plays them like a well-tuned instrument. She knows how to leverage charm and pedigree when necessary, but she'll just as quickly turn her back on wealth if it compromises her sense of self-worth or agency. She’ll wear a thousand-galleon cloak and then sprint through mud just to prove she can. She’s got a point to make, always, and she is stubborn to prove it.

Fiercely independent, Calliope is driven by an inner fire that no one else can claim credit for. Despite the silver-spooned upbringing, she refuses to coast on her family name. If anything, it fuels her refusal to be underestimated. She’s the type who will over-prepare for an exam (of subjects she actually likes) just to prove she didn’t coast. The girl who trains harder than her peers not because she has to, but because she needs to know she earned it. She's quick to reject anything that feels like hand-holding or pity, and even quicker to recoil from unsolicited emotional exposure. Emotionally, Calliope is... complicated. She doesn’t do vulnerability in the traditional sense and physical affection is a near-foreign language outside of family. Hugs are tolerated (barely), hand-holding is bizarre, and talking about feelings earns you a flat look and a strategic subject change. But what she lacks in softness she makes up for in fierce loyalty. If you're lucky enough to earn her trust (and it does take time) you'll find yourself part of a small, tight-knit circle she protects like a dragon with its treasure. But with that loyalty comes high expectations. She believes in mutual respect, and anything that resembles betrayal or disloyalty (even if unintentional) is met with ice-cold detachment. Once the bridge burns, it's ash. Bye bye. And Calliope doesn't do forgiveness for free.

Animals are........... not her favorite. An understatement, truly. She doesn’t enjoy things that drool, shed, or require much maintenance. But birds fascinate her and jut maybe because their high-strung, clever, free-spirited selves remind her of herself. She’s especially drawn to ravens and hawks for reasons that are simply none of your business. Sometimes you may see her sitting quietly, hand outstretched, waiting for a feathered companion to perch. Calliope’s fondness for frogs and toads is unexpected, which is exactly why she allows it. In a world where image is everything (and she’s spent her whole life being perceived a certain way) frogs and toads represent a kind of rebellion against superficiality. They’re lumpy, unpredictable, and certainly not beautiful in a conventional sense, which makes her affection for them feel oddly intimate and personal. They are creatures that live in two worlds, water and land, and adapt to thrive in both. There’s something poetic about that duality that she relates to it deeply. Also? They don't need any cuddling. Big bonus.
