The baby House Elf Toddles continues to create havic at each of the house tables playing catch with a shiney orb, many students have joined in.

After a stint at the Gryffindor Table a student alerted the Headmaster:

"Headmaster. I hate to interrupt your conversation but I think there is something you should know." She felt like a snitch, a really bad one at that. However, if the orb broke or if anything happened to someone because the elf threw it too hard. "Toddles has a glass orb like object he said that he found in your office, well he said he found it in the room with the spinning gargoyle." Goodness she was rambling. "It's small and pretty light. He swear he just found it and I tried to bring it up here but he snatched it out of my hand and ran off before I could catch him." She hoped she was doing the right thing by coming here and not chasing after the elf in question.

"I appreciate your telling me. You may return to your table." He rose from his seat and gave Max a rap up side the head. This was his fault. Somehow.

"Excuse me, please. I have to go retrieve Max's trophy." And then it was going BACK to his office.
He then found the little guy at the Lion table again and is trying to get the orb from him with the help of Prefect Hollingberry:
SPOILER!!: The Elf, Prefect and Headmaster

Getting ready to jump on top of the table again, and maybe get a drink of water since Toddles was very thirsty, when he heard the big man.

O___O

"Whoopsies! Toddles needs to hide!" The house elf scurried further into the middle of the darkness under the table and wrapped his arms over the concealed orb. His toy that was going to be stolen.

Despite his slight fear, Toddles couldn't help but giggle...he liked hiding games almost as much as catching ones.

"TODDLES!!" Kurumi chirped, deciding to charm a cookie in his direction. House elves liked cookies, right?! Besides, maybe the cookie would earn her a hug!

Oh? What was this? He had a pillowcase with him now? Wasn't that just the CUTEST thing ever? "Toddles, what all do you have in there?" Or was he going to take a nap on the Gryffindor table?

Oh! The Headmaster was here too! Did he want another cookie?

Nope. At least not judging from his question. Looking around, Kurumi tried to find Toddles again so she could hug him but soon brought her attention back to the Headmaster. "Toddles," Kurumi said, placing a little emphasis on the elf's name. Honestly, Tables? Baby thing? Shouldn't the Headmaster, as a father, be a little more caring when it came to names? Toddles might start to cry! "Was here earlier, Headmaster, throwing something around. And...I swear I just saw him again now... with a pillowcase..."

Where did the little guy go?

Oh wait! "There he is!" Kurumi chirped, pointing her finger at the something that had moved under the table. Honestly, if the elf hadn't said anything she probably wouldn't have noticed.

Ducking down a bit, Kurumi peered into the darkness that was under the table and wished that the candlelight in the Great Hall were a little brighter. Where was the cutie?!

Him. Toddles was a him.

Hmph.

Tate crouched beside Hollingberry. "Come out and play, Toddles. Will you show me your new toy?"

Did Toddles go out and talk to the Head man or not? He was afraid that he would yell at him for going in his office. That would make him sad. The studensies may save him though if things got bad.

Sticking his head ever so slightly out from underneath the table, just so his eyes and ears were visible he squeaked. "Mister won't hurt Toddles or the Shiney?" The baby elf came all the way out and sat on the table close to the red "P' girl who liked him. She might save Toddles if the man tried to hurt him.

The whole time the orb created a huge lump on the front chest part of Toddles' pillowcase-like tunic.

The sixth year cocked her head to the side for a moment as she pondered the potential evolutionary theory behind house elves when the Headmaster was back to speaking to Toddles.

"I am sure the Headmaster is brilliant at playing catch, Toddles," Kurumi nodded encouragingly. He was the Headmaster after all.

Kurumi giggled and resisted the urge to just scoop Toddles up in her arms and give him another hug when he inched closer to her and... EEK! SAT DOWN NEAR HER!

Again, she resisted the urge to just hug the creature because he was just so adorable with his stuffed pillowcase.

"You have nothing to be afraid of," Kurumi smiled, still very much wanting to hug the creature. Tehe.

"Ask him to throw it to you," Tate suggested to Hollingberry. "And I am brilliant at playing catch. Good guess."

Nodding a bit more as the Headmaster confirmed that he was not going to get hurt, Kurumi turned her gaze to the man. "Play a bit of baseball in your day, sir?" she asked, momentarily forgetting that he had just asked her to do something.

Ahem. Right.

"Toddles, you hear that? The Headmaster is good at playing catch too! How about...you throw it to me first and then all three of us can play together?" That sounded like fun, right? Even if Kurumi suspected that the Headmaster had no intention of playing catch.

"If Mister is so good at catch, doesn't he want Toddles to throw it to him?" The Elf's big doe 'I've been caught for doing something bad' eyes turned to the Head man and he really wanted to pass it to him now since he was probably mad at Toddles for taking the toy back.

He uncrossed his legs and stood up slowly, removing the Shiney from his tunic hiding place. It was a good one, too bad he had to reveal to everyone his good hiding place for snacks and bugs. "Toddles will play catch with you two, was you a Ryffinblorr Mister, they are the best catchers." He tossed the orb at Kurumi eagerly, excited for this new round of catch!

Her eyes widened as a feeling of deja vu swept over her when she saw the orb-thing again. Hmmm....odd. She was still pretty sure she had never seen it before. Well, besides earlier in the evening when Toddles had thrown it at Anya's face. "Good one, Toddles," Kurumi chirped as she easily caught the object in her hands. "Your turn now, Headmaster," she beamed, lobbing it in his direction.

When the Mister caught it, Toddles hoped he passed it far. Hard catches were the best.

In almost the same movement, Tate brought his wand back around to touch the spoon held in his other hand, changing it into a bubble wand, which he offered to Toddles.

"Do you like bubbles? Much more fun." See? He blew a stream of bubbles from the wand, a cloud of many sizes and colors surrounding the little elf.

Let's all check it out since the madness seems to be continuing for this Start-of-Term Feast! And it seems that Tate is back in possession of this strange Orb.
