"Hey," he said calmly, stepping forward to meet her in a hug as she got to him. He kissed her lightly before pulling away and just holding her by one hand. "Thanks for coming." How formal. That was bad. Dal grimaced slightly, then forced himself to quickly recover. He grinned, motioning to the picnic basket. "Wanna sit?" He led the way over, sitting back against the wall and stretching his feet out on one side of the basket.

Then, with a sheepish grin, he lifted one side of the basket's lid to reveal what was inside. "The feast." There was quite an assortment of candies; from chocolate frogs and sugar quills to Every Flavor Beans and pumpkin pasties. "I had to improvise, you know? What with the kitchen being closed. This is all I could round up." He dug his hand in, lifting a few candies up and dropping them on the closed side of the lid.

Underneath the candy, folded up almost too nicely, was a turquoise blanket. Dallin stared at it before glancing at Ellie. He didn't know if she'd want it back since, ya know, she hadn't died. But... Dal would still keep it if she wanted him to. He'd feel just as, well, honored as he had when Ellie had first given it to him.
Ellie embraced him, and kissed him back when he did. It seemed silly for the butterflies to be tumbling around in her tummy, but they were regardless. They had been together for so long, but they still enjoyed flirting and being outright adorable. Oh well. It's not like it was hurting anyone.

Interlocking her fingers with his, Ellie couldn't help but grin again. It all seemed so formal. Thank you for coming. It was oddly humorous, so Ellie replied: "Thank you for inviting me." And tipped her head a little with a wink. Just because. Nodding, she followed Dallin to the picnic basket and sat right next to him, against the wall.

Her eyes practically shone with happiness when he unveiled the amounts of chocolate and candy. Oh, dear. Ellie was such a sucker for chocolate. She decided right then and there that she was never letting Dallin go as long as he kept this up. "Oh, I'm just fine with this." She said with a little laugh. Beaming, Ellie peeked into the picnic basket and saw a bit of teal. She poked around the candy and felt that it was... a quilt. "Is that my...?" Ellie asked, without finishing, glancing up at Dallin.
