Actually, after that hug, he wished that the World Cup would happen every year, and that each year he could get Ellie a signed picture. It was all for the hug, no?
Like, the last time with the kiss?
Certainly.
And now that he wasn't standing on the bench, he could properly reply to the girl, no?
"Sorry, umm, he's Tiberius...he...was away from Hogwarts for a while," well, he WAS apologizing for ignoring her the little time he focused entirely on Tiberius. Because now he knew that ignoring Ellie was a very bad idea. Surely, she understood it this time, right?
And...GRIN. "So, you liked your present?" just to be suuuuuuure, he had to ask. "I didn't know what you would like, so, I figured this was pretty good," he said, gesturing towards the picture. Not to mention that he'd had the time of his life sneaking in some tents to get the picture signed. Again, thank you, Aaron.
SPOILER!!: Tiberius :D

Looking up at Treyen, he marveled at how when he'd left, Treyen was a first year, and now, he was a prefect. Things had continued on at Hogwarts without him, and he'd never really given that much thought.
"It just didn't seem.. I don't know. Mum really wanted me to start over while I was at Beauxbatons."
But he'd made her change her mind.
Tiberius smiled and chuckled a little when she corrected herself. "Tibi's fine if that's the first thing that pops out. Tiberius, too." He paused, debating whether to continue. "People at Beauxbatons called me Tibs, if that's better for you."
And then, scratching the back of his neck, he moved on to the substance of her statement. "It's really good to be back. Weird. Different. But good."
Oh, yes, Ellie was ALL smiles now. She no longer missed home because she LOVED school. Loved it. School had GOOD people and she had missed it all terribly.
"Treyen," she said definitively,
"I LOVE it. Beyond words." End of story. Only, now she didn't know what to do with it. She was just holding it in the most careful way possible. If she put it in her bag, it could get smushed or wrinkled or scratched or all of the above. If she put it on the table, well, the table might not be SPOTLESS to begin with, but it could also get spilled on and wrinkled and stuff. If she put it one her NOW clean plate, that was just it; it was clean NOW, but Merlin knew when Tate would make his speech and suddenly it would be BURIED under food. No. Ellie wasn't taking any of those kind of chances, so she glanced up once more at the Staff Table. She needed help.
The fourth year nodded when Treyen introduced her. Finally. Maybe she won't be SO confused anymore.
She decided she liked this Tiberius on one reason. He didn't offer up his hand. She
liked that. At least one kid was up to pace with her and her not liking the formalities of it. It was just...formal. Meh. Besides, her hands were now busy with the AUTOGRAPHED picture of epicness.
"It's good to meet you too," she said, looking up at him.
"Do you want to...sit," she asked, gesturing by means of a head jerk to the space next to her. Remarkably it was free, even after Treyen had forced her to scoot aside when forcing his way between herself and Dallin. Mainly, she was tired of looking up...and felt short. Something she was definitely not used to beside Treyen. And she didn't feel like standing.
Ooooh he went to Beauxbatons? Not...always, apparently, but still, that was pretty cool. That's where Mina went while
she was away. That must be THE place to be if you're not HERE. Otherwise, it was Hogwarts ALL the way.
Tibs. Heh. Interesting nickname.
But, yeah, sit? Please?
