It's the year 2065,
Of course, Emmylyne still had an agreement set with her mother over having part-guardianship of one of her many younger sister's. This one, being her teenage sister: Savannah Mae. There was nothing wrong with their family in the least, the younger girl merely didn't want live in Paris and move from the school she had started at; That, and Emmy's little sister seemed to be quite similar to her, in afew ways. The main, being she and their mother butted-heads too much. That, was another story in it's own though.

And Axel, had full-guardianship of both Valencia, and Dustin Phoenix. His teenage brother, and nearly of-age sister. That, was also an even longer story, but shortly put; Axel's father and grandfather, and maybe even further back had been sucessful auror's (Which there was no doubt, he was following in their footsteps). Of course, along with the job came the chance of dangers to yourself and your family. Some year's prior an attack had been made on the Phoenix family. Most unfortunately taking both Missus and Mister Phoenix's lives, Axel kidnapped and severely hurt, and both children in the care of the Ministry until they had been able to find a relative to hand them over to.

They had all had their fair share of hard times, and of good too. Since then, everything seemed to be going their way (for the most part); it was all actually really lovely. Emmylyne and Axel, had met many, many, many year's ago. As kids, only afew years older then toddler's even. Along with three others: Elissa, Benjamin and Finnegan.
Since her grandmother had introduced them at the age of five, for a playdate, each had become unbelieveably close unbelieveably fast. Spending each day of summer together if possible, and whenever they could during the rest of the year. It had gotten harder as they started different wizarding academy's. The two girl's going to Beauxbatons, and the three boy's to Durmstrang. But still the five managed this.

Now, to the present, Emmylyne had a gorgeous daughter; a toddler. Very intelligent for her age, and knew on her own that Axel, her Mommy's husband, was not her 'real' Daddy. Although much too little to remember anything from those times she did spend with Benjamin before his heroic death (By putting a colleague before himself) Lainie loved both men, alot. Both, she felt were her Fathers and that's all that mattered to her.

Back to Axel and Emmy..They had married, exactily nine months from this day. December 8th had been the day, in her favorite season. Thankfully..There had been very few mentions or awkwardness about 'them' from Family and Friends. Emmy had been more so concerned over Benji's side of the family..and his friends, but really all that mattered was Faith Lawley; Lainie's Grandmother, was absolutely fine with it. Knowing her son would have been too, as if it had been arranged incase of his death - Ax had been family, in Faith's eyes. She had one son, and two daughter's, one more son wasn't anything to her and it gave her that comfort knowing her past daughter-in-law and mother to her first and only grandbaby was in good hands. Even better, Jodie; Ben's sister, was completely understanding as well. Both Lawley women were very involved in the toddlers life, and Ems.

She, Emmy, was greatful. Over all of it. Everything had always been incredibly complicated, it always had and she was still uncertain if that would go away. But that was okay. She- No, they, had a growing family. She had Axel, the love of her live. And her little angel, Lainie..plus, three wonderful teenager siblings, that the women couldn't help but treat as her and Axel's own. But that was a given, really.

The past was behind them, of course never forgotten..but also never mourned. Only celebrated, to the fullest it had been whether it be a lost-loved one or a bittersweet memory. Whatever it be, they tried keeping thing's positive. And around the house..everything was nothing more then cheerful, and happy. Though, with their only being the couple at home at the moment, one could say that didn't mean much. They; Ax and Ems, would disagree though.

It was rather early in the morning, on August 8th in Valencia, Spain. Today, each of the four 'children' were- As far as Emmylyne knew- suppose to be on their way home from visiting others on break.

Literally speaking, It's doubtful Axel and Emmy could handle more then their teenager's ~~Especially with Vee just turned of-age! XD~~ and toddler. Family bonding time right now.

The day was August 8th, 2065 and Axel Phoenix had just fallen out of bed. Checking the clock while rubbing the back of his sore neck, he inclined his head to make sure that Emmylyne was still sleeping. Heaving a sigh of relief, the young man stood up and grabbed a pair of his green, plaid pajama pants from off the chair in their master bedroom. He pulled them over his boxers so now he was dressed in his pants and a wife beater.

Running to the side table on his side of the bed, he pulled one of the drawers open and took out a small velvet box. The box was aged and it was definitely noticeable. Gently opening it, he gently took the golden chain that was in side. Hanging off the chain was a gold locket. It was empty, but he had it that way on purpose.

After placing the box back in the drawer, Axel held the locket tight in his hand as he examined his wife, in search of some where to place it. Sea green eyes landed on an open hand that was resting gently on a pillow. Perfect. Tip-toeing over to her side of the bed, the young man placed the locket in her hand and closed it. She seemed to grab it. Yes! It worked. Well done!

With a satisfied smile on his face, Axel made his way to the kitchen. He stood in the middle of the room, unable to concentrate. He was far to excited to see the look on Emmy's face when she saw her present. Another thought came to him suddenly. Moving quick as a cat, he went into their backyard and picked a bouquet of roses and placed them in a vase in the middle of the counter where the bar stools were.

Finally happy with his accomplishments, he sat at one of the stools and grabbed the Daily Prophet off the counter to read. Glancing up from his reading, he flicked his wand. Pancakes were making themselves along with fresh coffee. He smiled triumphantly and waited as patiently as possible for the love of his life to wake up.

Slowly, Brownish green hazel eyes came into view as her eyelids fluttered open. Yawning, she turned on to her other side. Her gaze fixed blankly- or tiredly, rather, on the creamy wall far across from her.

After afew moments the young woman pulled herself into a sitting position, only then noticing a small weight in her closed left hand. What in the wor- She began to think, while raising her hand and opened it, revealing a beautiful oval-shaped golden locket. "Axel.." She mumbled, a smile appeared at his name. That man..young man. Oh goodness. Sometimes he was just TOO sweet, but she loved him. There was no doubt.

Climbing out of bed, Emmylyne kept the locket in her hand and used the other to grab her mahogany wooded wand from the handsome, and rather unique looking endtable. Using the wand to make the bed with ease, as she went to put her bathrobe on, covering her PJ shorts and tanktop. It was slightly silly, after leaving the warm covers.

Tying her messy brownish blonde curls back, She soon found herself downstairs and walking towards the kitchen.

"Good morning hun," Emmy said, softly. Soon reaching her husband and wrapped her arms around his neck from behind (Thankfully, she was only a mere few inches shorter) and slipped between two barstools to his side. "Sneaky little bugger, aren't you?" She asked, teasingly and raising the locket into view, letting out a small giggle.

It didn't take as long for her to catch sight of the freshly picked roses, causing her to giggle more. "What is this all about, Mister?" Em asked, the slightlest bit of curiousity sparkled in both her expression, and eyes.

After hearing footsteps coming into the kitchen, Axel fixated his sea green eyes on the Daily Prophet. That's right, he was going to act totally oblivious of what he had just done. He was extremely proud of himself for waking up before Emmy. That was actually an accomplishment for him seeing as she was the one who usually woke before him.

Feeling her arms around his neck, he took her hands in his and gave her a good morning kiss. Putting his plan into play, a confused expression crossed his face. "Whatever are you talking about my love?" he asked, unable to stop the smile that was slowly creeping its way across his lips.

Alright, time to give up the act. He couldn't take it anymore."Sneaky? I'm quite proud of myself actually," he chuckled with a triumphant look. "Let me put it on. Here." He took the locket from her hand and gently placed it around her neck, clasping it firmly in the back. He then looked her up and down, taking in how she looked with the locket on and not to mention how beautiful he thought she looked in her bathrobe.

"It's a perfect fit." He ran his fingers over the locket that now dangled on her neck and smiled. "It was my mother's. One of the few things I was able to save from the fire," he explained. "Vee has the other locket." Before their parents were killed, Axel was given a box full of a few things from their mother. This locket being one of them. He also had given Emmylyne his mother's wedding ring as well. Yes, his parents knew they were going to their death. "Oh and I thought you'd like to put the pictures of your choice in it, that's why I left it blank," he added, motioning to it.

After she noticed the roses, his smile grew even bigger. "Please, you don't remember? Or are you the one playing dumb now?" he chuckled. "Today is our nine month anniversary and I wanted to do something special for my wife. Seeing as the last few months on this day we've been bombarded by our wards," he laughed, referring to the children they lived with on the day of their marriage.

"Now," he clapped his hands together and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "Can I get you some pancakes and coffee?" He stood up and busied himself with making a plate and cup full of the steaming drink.

She nodded lightly, as he put the locket on for her and started to explain. Truth be told, Emmylyne thought she had seen it before but didn't say this. It made it all more precious and special, knowing it had been his mothers. "It does," She agreed quietly, refering to when he said it fit perfectly.

Em gave another small nod, figuring it would be best not to say what she was thinking about putting inside..it would be a long while anyways, and better left for later. For now, it was still just perfect empty.

"I knew what day it was, silly. Just normally anniversary's are yearly," She responded, smiling and brushed her lips softly against his very briefly. Taking a seat on a barstood she stood by, Emmylyne watched Axel go around and busy himself with the kitchen. "Uhm..I suppose that would be alright," Normally she really didn't eat breakfast, unless it was a work day. But, it was probably a good idea to eat something instead of going by her normal schedule. "Love you Axel.."

Axel chuckled lightly as he placed two pancakes on a plate and poured a cup of coffee. "Well, I wanted to give my wife something nice for our 'month'iversary. This is the first one we're having alone," he reminded her. He levitated her plate and cup of coffee onto the counter in front of her, then busied himself with his own food.

Sitting down next to her, he wrapped his arms around her middle and buried his face in her hair. "I love you too Emmylyne," he whispered. "I always have." Could you say that his life was perfect? Why yes you could. It was a messed up life, but it was his cup of tea.

"So, how long do we have until the children arrive?" Of course he was referring to his cousin, who happened to be the same exact age as him, as one of the children as well. He and Elissa would be stopping by to spend a week or so with them. He was quite excited, seeing as he had gotten to take off of work for a while in order to tend to their guests.

"Can't imagine what Finn has had those kids doing," he laughed. Finnegan was always one to surprise him with different activities that he came up with. "Oh! I wonder how he coped with Vee! She's just turned seventeen on the third!" he suddenly remembered. "I bought her some new art supplies. Can't wait to give them to her."

After finishing his breakfast, he levitated it into the sink and turned back to Emmy. "Anything in particular you want to do before our company comes home?" he wondered, taking both of her hands in his. "God, you're beautiful." Yes, he was one to just say anything random.

He had a point. This was the first time they had been left alone this long, from the ones they cared for. Not that they didn't love all four kids, but..They weren't so old themselves. Valencia was only five years younger, Dusty and Savina - six to seven years younger. It was nice to have just abit of alone time, to themselves.

Still. Emmylyne was begining to really miss her daugher, sister, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Closing her eyes momentarily, She found herself leanning into her dear husband ever so slightly. Then, at the question, her earth toned eyes turned towards the wall, glancing at the clock then at Ax. "Well..It's 10:48 right now. I'd think we have about an hour atleast," Laughing, She quickly realized he had meant Finn as one of those kids. It was still a wonder to her, that she was now related to both Finnegan and Elissa; by marriage.

"I hope the kids are behaving themselves," Emmy added. "I'm sure she'll absolutely love that."

Not so long later of receiving her breakfast, she had finished. Taking one last sip of her coffee and took her wand from her pocket to clear the mess, then set it down on the counter. "Nothing that comes to mind, I don't believe. Other then getting ready for the day."

Even though they were very much together, for quite sometime now, His compliments still had a way of making her cheeks fill with that rosy color. "Your too adorable," She informed, giggling lightly and shook her head with amusement.

Finally, there lives were on track again. Today enough, everything was set up. The house was nice and clean, the kids would be coming one soon, three with Finn and Eli, and Lainie with her grandmother or aunt; Em assumed.

Axel nodded, biting his bottom lip slightly. "I guess we should really get dressed then, huh?" He took her hand and led her back upstairs into their master bedroom. Throwing open his closet, he crossed his arms over his chest, letting a small 'umph' come from the back of his throat.

Finally coming to the conclusion to wear a light green t-shirt along with cargo shorts, always wearing a gold chain around his neck; it had been his father's. After he got dressed, he collapsed backwards onto their bed and sighed. "Oh yes, I think Vee will love her present." He was extremely confident about that.

"I'm too adorable?" he suddenly said after she had spoken those words in the kitchen. "No, no my love. You're the one whose adorable. I'm just...." he propped himself up on one of his elbows to face her. "I'm just Axel," he laughed, running long fingers through shaggy brown hair. There was no other way to describe the way he felt about her. She was absolutely perfect in every way. He still couldn't believe that he was actually with him, that she was actually his wife.

"Any idea what we're gonna make for lunch for them all?" Axel wondered. Everyone had their own likes and dislikes, it was hard to keep track. One thing he did know was that Dusty and Finn would eat anything, and when he says anything he means anything. Sometimes it's actually quite gross as to what those two will eat.

He fell onto his back once more and stared up at the ceiling. He seriously couldn't believe that he owned this house. Well, that he and his wife owned this house. It was perfect. it was not that far away from his old home, the home that he had grown up in, the home that he and his siblings had spent their lives in. It was absolutely perfect in every way.

Opening the door to her own closet, Emmylyne snatched up the clothes infront she had set there the night before and went to their bathroom. Still listening, of course.

A laugh was heard, and following quickly after, around the corner and back into the room came the young woman. Now fully dressed in an Olive-colored Pleated Silk Camisole and Demin capri pants. Her hair though, was still not properly managed.

"'Just Axel' Well now, isn't that. . .Something." Emmy said, amusedly. Smiling down at Ax as she kneeled beside him, afew stray curls fell infront of her face, grazing his cheek lightly from her leanning over him.

Letting the two strands go from one end to the other of his scarred but still handsome face, She giggled abit at her own silliness. "I was thinking a mixed platter of sandwiches. Freshly cut up fruit, and maybe afew different kind's of chips or crackers." Emmy suggested.

She was definitely excited. About the kid's coming back and about Eli and Finn staying for awhile. Not that she didn't love having time to just Axel, because she did. But..This would be good. The twenty-two year old couldn't remember the last time she had properly visited with either of the old friends.

"It is something and you know it. You married me by the way, so you must be 'just Emmy'," Axel chuckled, making the air quotes when necessary. As she kneeled beside her, his arm instinctively went around her waist and pulled her into him. He swatted at her loose curls as they grazed his face and chuckled.

"Are you trying to make me sneeze love?" he laughed, placing the few curls behind her ears. His hand lingered on her face for a few seconds, grazing her cheek then running his finger lightly from her jaw down to her chin, letting his hand fall onto her lap.

He thought about her lunch suggestions and gave a slight nod. "Sounds perfect to me." He was no picky eater and he always liked whatever Emmy prepared. "Would you like me to pick some fruit from the garden?" he asked, motioning to the outdoors. Axel had really enjoyed the fact that they had fresh fruit all the time.

"You know what else we should do?" the young man asked excitedly. "We should have a bonfire in the backyard!" He always loved bonfires. He and his wife had had a few the past couple of days and he knew that everyone would enjoy them.

He was extremely excited about everyone coming to visit, but he was even more excited that he and Emmy had spent a good amount of their 'monthiversary' alone.

"I did?! I knew there was some reason I lived here.." Emmy responded in mock sarcasm, then added while fighting back laughter: "Ax! Now we sound like some cheesy cartoon family from TV!"

Her gaze never left him. She shrugged innocently at his question, as if to silently say she had no idea what he was talking about.

It took a moment, but she gave a small nod. "I think we have most of it inside. .but I'm not sure if we have any pear's." Pear's were Laih's absolute favorite fruit. The child would eat any fruit, and nearly any vegetable, Surprisingly. "Would you be suuuuch a sweetheart and possibly grab one or two for me?" Emmylyne asked, after having entwined their fingers together she continued to unconsciously play with Axel's hands in her own.

"Hmm?" Emmy tilted her head to the side abit, noting her husband's excitement, she smiled. "Oh! Ax, that's an absolute brilliant idea!" It was, too. A bonefire in the backyard on a summers night, on the first night with everyone back.

Axel chuckled lightly and nodded in agreement. "Let's give it a rest before we start talking like claymation," he laughed, sitting up slightly but leaning on a few of the many pillows that occupied their bed. Of course, his hands never left her. He was definitely the touchy-feely sort of guy and Emmy knew that. He was raised in a family that always was hugging and he had picked up that trait.

A small smile erupted on his face as he looked into her earth toned eyes. "Of course. There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you and you know that." He paused. "And you use that to your advantage," he snickered. His sea green eyes watched as she played with his hands. It comforted him. Then again, anything she did always made him feel at ease.

"I knew you'd like it," the young man said with a cheeky grin. "I'll have to chop some wood." He then laughed. "Or I could just make my wand do it for me, but then again it is good exercise after all." He bit his lip in thought. This definitely was a strange thing to be thinking over.

Leaning over slightly, he planted his lips onto his wife's as his hand subconsciously ran through her hair. "Perfect." Yes, she was absolutely wonderful. How many times could he really say that without it getting old? According to him, he couldn't say it enough. "How is it that I got so lucky as to have you as my wife?" He loved asking silly questions like these, but he loved the answers even more.

Emmy free'd one of his hands, and smacked his shoulder playfully. Giving a clearly fake hurt look, that quickly after turned into a pouting frown. "What are you trying to say, Mister Phoenix..?" She asked, eying him slightly and slipped her hand back into his.

"Since you know either way you'd get it, here comes my oppinion. I think you should save your energy and just use magic..For one, because I'm sure there will be alot of excitement once everyone arrives." She paused briefly, shifting abit. "And for two, I haven't finished my full four years of Healer training yet, which means I haven't learned how to re-attach limbs. Let's not take a trip to my work today, please hun?" Of course, there was atleast the smallest hint of teasing in her tone. Emmy knew there was a very slim to none chance that Axel would get hurt, but still she wanted to tease, and honestly it did worry her abit seeing as it would save all the trouble by just flicking a wand.

Though only moments before she had become the tiniest bit tense, the young women relaxed at his gentle touch. Somehow, Axel was always able to make her feel that everything would be okay, in the least. "Goofball." She then whispered, "Because, it was meant to happen. Darling, or we wouldn't have been here today."

Axel looked at her playfully and chuckled. "Oh you know full well what I'm trying to say, Missus Phoenix." Oh yes, he loved calling her that. He did wish they had their father's real name, kudos to Valencia, but he knew it would just turn into something nasty with the Ministry and that's the last thing he wanted. The only contact he wanted, and had, with them was for them to tell him what his mission was that day. That's it. And he had what he wanted. Why would he screw it up?

Laughing lightly, the young man nodded. "You're right. There's absolutely no way I'm going to the hospital today. Hmmm..maybe tomorrow," he teased, nudging her slightly. "Alrighty, let's get to work." He stood up, heaving a sigh and pulling her with him. He began walking down the stairs, his hand never leaving hers.

"Wait," he turned around to face her on the fourth stair. "Did you call me a goofball?" He couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculous nickname. "You're very clever, you know?" he chuckled, giving her a small peck on the cheek.

Walking into the kitchen, Axel grabbed a basket from the counter then went to the back door. "I'm off." He smiled at her once more before he disappeared into their backyard to pick fruit and chop some wood. "Holy potatoes! It's hot out!"

Emmy halted on the step, as Axel did. Looking at him in disbelief, she giggled lightly. Had he really just taken notice to her choice in words? "Nope, I didn't." She denied.

Pausing at the counterbar, She shook her head. An expression showing her amusement as the dear young man just realized it was hot outside. Alriiight, now what was I suppose to do first?

Letting out a small weary sigh, Emmylyne headed quietly back up the light grey-colored carpet of the wooden staircase. Once back inside the master bedroom she went to their bathroom, to brush her hair out. With abit of help from some kind of hairspray, and water, she managed to get the curls down to a lovely wave in a ponytail.

On her way out of the room completely, She grabbed her forrest green flipflops in one hand and then continued back in the direction of downstairs.

Tossing the thongs lightly by the back-door so she wouldn't have to go back upstairs for those too. And went to the sink, washing her hands thoroughly. Waving her wand gently, the twenty-two year old had used a non-verbal spell afterward to help her abit around the kitchen, and placed her wand out of the way. Enchanting large chip bowls to fly from the top cabinet onto the countertop and a box of mixed chips and crackers both; a party mix if she were correct. The fridge door opened as well, allowing apples, small grape vines, oranges, bananas, plums, and apricots to land on the counterspace next to the sink, ready to be washed and put into another large bowl for everyone to pick out of.

Emmylyne had taken to non-verbal magic easiest probably, She had learned quicker and done better on that, then the others..Apparating for example. Thankfully, she had never caused herself a trip to whatever was the nearest hospital then though, it had just taken longer to actually apparate rather then only getting half of her wherever she wanted to go.

Magic, obviously, was something they did use often in the house. Though, normally She tried being more like a muggle at home, with cooking and cleaning, things like that. Sometimes it was just easier this way. Some moments later, Ems started neatly putting five different kinds of sandwiches around on the oval-shaped platter plate. Again using abit of 'invisible' help to carefully dump the mixed snacks into it's bowl, and hovered it over onto the table followed closely by the sandwiches so she didn't have to leave her area, allowing her to hand-wash the fruits to make sure they had all been cleaned then only dried them the slightest bit with a hand towel, before they reached their next destination: Being chopped up into a big bowl of fruit salad.

Earth toned eyes glancing up from her job, to the clock, Emmy couldn't stop herself from wondering when the kids, Eli and Finn would arrive. Mostily Laih because Faith had told her not to pick the child up, that she would be dropped off.

As her task was finally finished, (All since she had gotten into the kitchen only taking twenty minutes to complete at the most; for she was quite quick in that environment from all her past experience with helping mum abit) Emmy went around and set this bowl down herself, though instead of on the table were the chips and sandwiches went, she placed this one on the counter with the barstools. A large scooping spoon found it's way to the bowl, as did plates and cups to the dining room table.
