What was one to do when they weren't in the kitchen?

She supposed she could clap, and she was thinking of doing just that when Professor Carlton's office door swung open. Destiny hadn't expected the woman to answer so quickly and if she had, her shoes would have still been on.

Nah, she would have still taken them off. Removing her legs from the chair's arm, she quickly put her shoes back on her feet and made her way into the office. Once inside, she shut the door behind her for fear of eavesdroppers. Wouldn't want people spying..that was Destiny's job, after all. "Hello, Professor!" she said, hand already in her pocket. No, she would not pull the parchment out yet. "Your chairs are comfortable."

The boy in the office with them..he was in Lafay's as well, wasn't he?

O___O
Oh, how polite. The girl had remembered to shut the door behind her, which Lexi was grateful for. Usually she had to either get up from behind her desk and shut it herself or fumble for wand to shut it with magic. Lexi smiled at Destiny then nodded in reply to the comment about the chairs. "Mmhmm, they are. I wouldn't have it any other way," she remarked. Nope. Hard, half-broken, uncomfortable chairs just cramped her style.

She paused for a moment, waiting for Destiny to speak up, but when the girl never did, Lexi decided to take the conversation into her own hands. "So, Miss Shepard, how are you today?" she asked, figuring that would be a nice, polite way to inquire as to what she could do for the girl today. While she waited for a reply, she glanced over at Simon, who'd been silent for a while now. Had the cat gotten a hold of his tongue, or something?
