But a year without finals, sounds like a pleasure reserved only for the school champions!
"I think its going to be a fairly relaxed Summer, nothing too exciting, well exciting by my family's standards," Exciting to the Hudsons meant, digging up bones, getting trapped in tombs and fighting grave robbers, "Just fun in the sun, and many trips to the sea!" Patroclus had after all a bet going with Evelyn, he had to win, his tan had to be better!
"Why not? Seeing Destiny in a home environment would be hilarious, no rules to stop her! It would be a blast!" and the boy had heard whisper of sheep, interesting...... "Carter?" Patroclus questioned, "I haven't seen him since the feast, I went upstairs early last night, to finish backing, he must have come in after me," but surely Marie would know of her boyfriends whereabouts.......surely?
Marie was glad finals and studying were over, she was just wishing term wasn't over. She had a feeling this summer was going to be worse than last summer... and she didn't think anything could be worse than that. She didn't think there was anything worse than finding your boyfriend in the arms of another girl... until she learned her boyfriend was taking another girl out of the country with him... and the girl happened to be her worst enemy.
"Well whatever you do I'm sure it will be more exciting than what I will be doing." Yeah, anything had to be more exciting than sitting at home wondering what your boyfriend was doing... or if you even had a boyfriend.
"Yeah, I can only imagine what Destiny would be like at home. I'm just not in the mood to find out right now." Heck, she wasn't in the mood for anything this summer, not even going to her grandparents which was usually always fun.
Well crap, she still didn't know if Carter was on the train.
"Oh, I haven't seen him since the feast either... when I walked out on him.. She said as she hugged her legs tighter and put her chin back on her knees. Well she did see him again when Destiny drug her back into the Great Hall, but she didn't talk to him.
Why did it seem like all her summers started with heartbreak? Oh right, because they did.
