I just can't bring myself to watch a chick flick that deep in the chickiness realm

Yeah its called Water For Elephants, I dunno I may give him the benefit of the doubt for another movie
Oh I love posting on Rotten, I haven't had anything posted on the TV though, which I'm hoping someday they will do
you get 100 bucks when they use your review on the tv show
so do you blog about movies? and why do you think you would be tearing apart something you love?
You bring up a VERY good point about those films. Sensationalism can be good or bad, I just see it more bad for CURRENT films.

I'm not huge into chick flicks but I love Emilie De Ravin (DP character model ahoy!) so I had to see her in it. It was really cute but yes give him the benefit of the doubt for this one and even if he sucks in it, you still have Christoph ;]
I did not know they gave you money if your review got used! You just gave me an incentive
I blog about them from time to time on my LJ but nothing too serious :]
To answer your second question, it's because some of my absolute favorite movies get torn apart by critics because they're not super serious films. Film to me is meant to be fun and to critique a fun movie that I enjoy would just kill me inside. Not every movie is meant to be a Scarface or a Saving Private Ryan. I think critiquing movies for a living would suck the fun out of watching a movie for me because if I was in that mindset every time I watched a movie, I'd be miserable. Watching movies is meant to be an escape from your real life just like a book is.
