"Maybe hitting it in the center or the lid might help. Different people could try different things. And I could try Cistem Aperio like Arya suggested. Would anyone else know that spell to help me?" He wasn't sure, but it was fair to ask.
He waited to see what they thought of that.
Even though they already tried this. Nymphy thought he'd indulge the late coming "take charge" guy. "We could try Finite Incantatem!" he said. "We've hit it with the Reductor Curse and even shot it with fire, but it remains unscathed. So obviously there is a protective charms of some sort." he finished, trying not to role his eyes as if they hadn't already tried amost everything suggsted.
Didn't they get the point? The Proffesor had set it up so that the only way to open it was to put EFFORT into getting it open. There was no special trick, no differnt angle. They just had to hit it straight on and put as much effort as they could into doing so.

Nymphy walked over with his fellow Hufflepuff, and a random Syltherin lacky. "You wanted to see me, Professor?" he said, as if it could have been a mistake or mispronunciation of another's name.
He thought he knew what this was about, and if Simon's "coup" (yes, there's a 'p' in coup....look it up!) was going to get him trouble..........He would be angry.
