Chapter 1
I waited all night for him to return. And it was quite obvious that I was getting restless.. I paced back and forth around my house so much that night that you could almost start to see the outline of my footprints on the floor. I also ate…..a lot. Ice cream cartons filled the trashcan and piled up on top of each other. I ate from being nervous and afraid that maybe Harry had to stay a day longer and come back days later. So I had to find a way to keep myself occupied.
I used this muggle machine, called a computer. Its almost like a television in some ways, except you don’t need a remote and you can do so many things on it. Living with Harry, I was sure to learn new things and be surprised. I wasn’t like my father who went completely bonkers with every muggle contraption, but I was still amazed at the things they invented.
One day I went out to the store with Harry in London, and bought a guitar. He wanted to get me a teacher, but I refused.
“Harry, I don’t need a teacher!” I told him.
“So the guitar is just for display?” He asked me.
“No, silly!” I told him, playfully slapping him on the arm. “I’ll teach myself.”
He put his hands on his hips, smiling. “Ginny, I know you’re always up for a challenge. But how will you do that? You cant teach yourself if you don’t even know the basics to begin with.” He told me.
“I know. Gosh, Harry, I’m not gonna teach myself nothing. There’s youtube.”
“Who tube?”
“Youtube. Have you been living under a rock, lately?”
“Haha, very funny. Now my own wife thinks she knows more about the muggle world than I do.”
“Youtube is a website where people can post and watch videos. There’s tons of tutorials. How do you think I’m learning French basics? I’ll learn from there.”
“You‘re getting so good with the computer. You‘re a fast learner.” He told me.
“Sometimes I just get bored. What’s a girl to do? ”
And I got pretty good at the guitar, and started playing songs, not quite writing them though. I was snapped back to reality when I saw the door knob of the front door turn. I held my breath. The door slowly turned, and who I saw took all my worries away. I didn’t have time to think. I acted sorta on instinct. I just ran to him and hugged him and kissed him.
