As she walked from the corridor into the room, she reached her hands behind her back and tied her apron around her waist. She'd charmed it to be a pretty orange color today to reflect...well, feeling bright and sunny. She didn't know why she'd expected to be the only person inside the kitchen, but...she had. Seeing Gold, the Gryffindor perfect, sort of took her by surprise. "Oh, Miss Laksh! It's good to see you in here. What are you making?" she asked. Come to think of it, though, Lexi hadn't really decided what she was going to make. She'd just really planned to come inside and...well, just come inside. That was all. She hadn't really planned on actually baking anything. Professor Carlton!
"Good evening, professor," Gold said cheerfully, not too slow to notice that the Professor looked mildly surprise to see her, here. Gold wondered why, but decided it would be impolite to ask. Which was exactly why she did not. Instead, she beamed around the kitchen, and said decidedly, "It's a lovely place, this, professor. Thank you SO much for it!"
Making? Something yummy, of course! Well, hopefully. Gold wasn't the best cook, out there. But she was a wonderful baker, and could make pretty much any type of desert, under the sun. Even if she didn't know the sweet-dish, if she had a basic recipe that she could work upon and extend and play with, she was pretty much always fine.
"-- a black forest cake, I think," she said, after a moment's pause.
That sounded perfect, to start off with! |
