"Dammit!" Dora exclaimed as the intruder charms began their earsplitting screech which reverberated off of all of the walls in the house. She flicked her wand from it's holster and waited. If it was a friend there would be a Patronus... and there was.

Flicking the wand toward the spot that shut off the charms she quickly jumped up and headed toward the door. As she passed the mirror it muttered something under it's breath. Then she swung open the door, being sure it slammed into the wall, vibrating the mirror when it hit. Teehee. She took two steps out onto the front walk, did a series of complicated wand movements while nonverbally saying the incantations to drop the charms.

When that was done she motioned for the two of them to enter the house.

"Hey poppet, you have a bit of chocolate on your face. YOu fat heifer." the nasty mirror remarked as she neared it.

"You shut your mouth you stupid thing, or it's off to the attic with you!" Dora spat the words back. She loathed that mirror more often than not, but it was good for a laugh now and again.

"Oho! Aren't you snappish today?! You have made that same empty threat so many times I am not afraid of you anymore." the mirror stated in it's best haughty voice. The reedy voice reminiscent of a certain loooooong distant family member that had been immortalized in a portrait.

Dora glared at the mirror, her hair turning a tinge of red as she thought about how satisfying it would be to smash the thing to bits.
