And gosh darn it, he'd stay happy.
Catching Jake's smile, Gabriella was starting to feel that he was possibly feeling a little more comfortable around her. She'd try and find him a chocolate frog or some other type of candy, but he
had mentioned how those types of things were off limits to him. Such a shame, such a shame.
Gabriella couldn't help but think that there just might be something troubling Jake, something other than the medical conditions that filled the file in her hands. Maybe she was just reading him incorrectly, as he
had just said he was doing everything he was told to.
"Well that sounds like a positive change to me. I'm glad you're happy," she remarked.
"I'll tell you what, Mr. Upstead. If there's anything at all troubling you, and you find yourself needing someone to talk to, I'll be more than happy to sit and listen. I probably don't have all the answers, but I'll sure try my best."
