"Um, Reese, maybe we can like do this another time?" She had just finished a tour a few weeks before. Plus the emotionally draining morning she had just now. And besides, Whit really looked like she didn't want to do this, and she wasn't wanting to upset her best friend on the last day she would see her for 3 weeks.
