4) Carefully, gripping the plant at the base of its stem, remove the plant from its pot. MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL ITS ROOTS!

5) Gently set it inside the hole in the ground, guesstimating to make sure there's enough room for the roots. Make sure it doesn't sink (otherwise you'll need to add more dirt to the hole before you plant it).

6) Retaining a hold on the plant being transplanted, massage its roots some more until they are loose and spread out in the hole you made. Don't rip or tear at the roots though; gentle is thee word.

7) Use your shovel (or your hands, mouth, neighbor's shoe, whatever) to gently fill in the space over the roots/around the base of the plant with the soil you displaced when you first dug the hole.

8) Pat the dirt up around the base of the plant and then make a ring, like a moat, so it has space for the water to seep in. And remember, you don't want any exposed roots.

9) WATER the PLANT.

10) Repeat steps 1-9 with your puffapod, preferably planting it right next to your own flutterby bush. Remember to space them 2-3 feet apart!
William stood up and walked over to his puffapod, who he had dubbed, "Puffy". "Okay Puffy I want you to behave now, there's going to be a bush that'll move. this is your new roomie, be nice, don't fight and play gently okay?" He said cheerfully as he picked up his plant and gave it a hug. Walking over to his Bushy he took three steps, which was about three feet from the bush and plopped himself down, digging a hole in the ground he hummed happily as he stopped, picking up his wand and watering it with the Aquamenti spell.

This done he picked up Puffy and frowned. This pot was hard, a ceramic almost and so he couldn't massage it like he did with the other. no worries he thought skipping to the fourth number and carefully grabbing the stemmy part and tugging gently, releasing it from its prison. If plants could sigh, this one would be sighing happily he thought as he looked in the pot, making sure no roots were stuck in the bottom. He gently set Puffy inside his new home and let go, noticing that it didn't sink. He was getting good a digging holes he mused as he smiled and checked his progress.

Retaining a hold of his Puffy, he carefully began massaging the roots, humming his fishy song as he went. He watched as Puffy's roots slowly began moving, getting acquainted with their new home. He did this for a few more minutes, massaging and humming until he looked down and noticed all the roots in a comfortable position. This finished he took his shovel again and carefully filled his hole up with soil and nodded once more when the hole was finished; no roots in sight. Finally he was almost finished he mused as he patted the soil gently, making a small circle around Puffy and making sure it was perfect. Nothing was too good for his Puffy he thought picking up his wand again and watering it once more.

Finally he was finished and he stood, stretching as he noted the homework. Bending down he took out a quill and parchment, writing it down messily before throwing everything into his bag and grinning at the professor. "Thanks for a great lesson Professor!" He said cheerfully, his earlier depression long gone. He grinned once more and headed off for the castle, a serious hunger grabbing him.
