The REAL Sorting Hat: "Ravenclaw!" This monkey is bananas.

William nodded sadly, giving his plant a pet as she walked away. "Okay, well you had your hair cut, let's see if I can make you pretty." he said to his bush, picking it up and hugging it tightly, but not too tightly. "I'm sorry bushy." he muttered as he put it down, this time putting his wand down beside it. He got more comfortable and crossed his legs beside his plant, whispering the incantation a few times in his head, this time making sure he got it right. His bush moved pathetically beside him, as if egging him on to fix his mistake. He sighed and smiled at it and picked up his wand. "Okay, this time I know I have it. You ready?" He asked the bush at his feet as he picked up his wand.

Taking a deep breath he held his wand out, his eyes focused on the major disaster in front of him. "flipnsnipwitit" He said, doing the karate chop thing with his wand. IT began to vibrate in his hand a different feeling than before and he watched as it began to slowly transform into a razor scissor thing. He tilted his head and looked down at Bushy, "You ready? I'll be gentle." he said softly as he lowered his wand and took off a lumpy part. It looked better already as the bush sighed and lifted itself up. "You liked that eh?" He asked smiling gently as he took off another leaf and a twig he had completely destroyed. "You'll be small, but you know what? Small is good, don't let the other bushes bully you." he said as he trimmed away the last of the twigs.

SPOILER!!: Instructions
1) Dig a hole deep enough that you could set your pot in it and the top soil of the pot would be level with the groundish.

2) Water the soil a bit but not enough that it becomes like mud.

3) If the pot you have is made out of pliable, flexible material, massage the pot so the roots get loosened a bit. [This will apply only to the cheap-o flutterby pots.]

4) Carefully, gripping the plant at the base of its stem, remove the plant from its pot. MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL ITS ROOTS!

5) Gently set it inside the hole in the ground, guesstimating to make sure there's enough room for the roots. Make sure it doesn't sink (otherwise you'll need to add more dirt to the hole before you plant it).

6) Retaining a hold on the plant being transplanted, massage its roots some more until they are loose and spread out in the hole you made. Don't rip or tear at the roots though; gentle is thee word.

7) Use your shovel (or your hands, mouth, neighbor's shoe, whatever) to gently fill in the space over the roots/around the base of the plant with the soil you displaced when you first dug the hole.

8) Pat the dirt up around the base of the plant and then make a ring, like a moat, so it has space for the water to seep in. And remember, you don't want any exposed roots.

9) WATER the PLANT.

10) Repeat steps 1-9 with your puffapod, preferably planting it right next to your own flutterby bush. Remember to space them 2-3 feet apart!

With his bush properly trimmed now and looking much better as it puffed itself out wiggling a bit he nodded. Okay, now for the planting process he thought looking at the instructions and picking up his plant. "You want a nice place right? I have just the place then, right here." he said to bushy as he began digging a small hole, large enough for the roots and small enough so that Bushy would be comfortable. After the hole was dug he looked at it and looked at the pot, thinking it would be level with the ground.

Taking his wand he said "Aquamenti!" in a clear voice and watered the ground, enough so that it was wet but not muddy. With the watering finished he looked at his pot, seeing that it looked rather flimsy and picked it up, setting it on top of his lap and began massaging it so the roots would give way more easily. For some reason he didn't feel weird doing it, his Bushy was happy by the wiggling motion it was doing so he knew he had to be doing something right.

Now for step four he thought looking at the list again and picked up his pot again, this time getting a good grip on the stem of Bushy. It wiggled in his hand making him giggle as he carefully took it out of its place, roots and all. From what he could see he had gotten them all, the only thing left in the pot was soil and bits of dead leafs and twigs from his previous encounter. Patting the soil gently around the hole so it wouldn't cave in on him when he set Bushy into it he nodded, placing the bush gently into the hole. To his relief it didn't sink but sat there.

Placing his hand in the hole he felt around for the roots, his eyes focused on his job as he found them and began massaging them gently, feeling as they spread out around his fingers. He continued doing this slowly, methodically until he was sure they were spread out enough before grabbing his shovel that was beside him and gently moving the dirt he had dug up into its new home again. He was gentle around the roots, to make sure he didn't accidentally cut them or hurt Bushy in any way. With he was satisfied he looked again at the instructions and nodded patting the dirt around the now-filled hole before making a ring with his finger around the bush.

There he was finished, except for one thing. Picking up his wand again he said "Aquamenti" and watered Bushy, making sure to get everything that was needed. When he was finished he gently pat Bushy and smiled. "There, not too bad eh?" He asked the bush.
