Ohhh, exciting! Anna turned to look at the two rows they'd be planting puffapods and flutterbys in. It was a pretty little area, and Anna was excited at the chance to see all the pretty plants grow into their full potential. Once she'd received a shovel, Anna headed over to the area she was to plant in and got right to work.
Anna jammed her shovel into the ground and began to dig, making sure her hole was big enough to sit the pot in. Oh, and she had to make sure she dug it to where the top soil would be level with the ground. When she'd determined that she'd done just that, Anna moved on to step two. Whew. This was going to take a while. Grabbing her wand and casting Aguamenti, Anna watered the ground, being craeful to not make it muddy. Studying her pot and determing that it was indeed pliable, flexible material, Anna massaged the pot until she felt the roots loosen. Okay, now for step four, the step Anna was a bit nervous about. She didn't want to break the roots or anything like that! Sighing, Anna grasped ahold of her plant at the base of its stem and carefully removed it from the pot, roots and all. Oh, oh, oh! She'd done it correctly! Awesomeness!
Alright, so now it was time to put the little plant into the ground! Anna watched as she put the plant into the ground. She was supposed to check and make sure the roots had enough room. The plant didn't look like it was going to sink either! Eep! Success was on the horizon! Once again, Anna massaged, this time massaging the roots to make them loosen and spread out a bit more. When she'd done that, Anna picked up her shovel and filled in all the little spaces. Alright, time for a bit more H20! Casting Aguamenti once again, Anna gave her plant a nice little drink of water. With that, the flutterby was planted. One down...puffapod to go.
Anna eyed the spot on the ground right next to her now-planted flutterby. This would be the spot her pretty, little puffapod would go in. Smiling, Anna skipped over to her puffapod, ready to plant in and place her two friends side by side in the dirt. Once she had it on hand and ready to plant, Anna picked up her shovel, jammed it into the ground, and began to dig. Hmm...this was where she had to make sure her hole was big enough to sit the pot in to where the top soil would be level with the ground. Anna stopped shoveling and bent down to examine her hole. Ohhh, just right. Anna laid aside the shovel and pulled her wand back out. With another Aguamenti, she was once again watering the ground, stopping before it got too muddy, of course. She didn't want a muddy, dead puffapod. When that was done, Anna bent down and massaged the pot to loosen the roots. She then grasped ahold of her plant at the base of its stem and carefully removed it from the pot, roots and all. Four steps down...six to go.
Anna studied the hole and the plant as she lowered the puffapod into the ground. She wanted to make sure the roots had enough room and that she wasn't killing her plant with the way she was putting it into the hole. As soon as that step was done, Anna stood back and admired her work. So far, so good! Anna massaged the roots to get them to loosen and spread out a bit more. These little roots were key parts to the plant's survival, and they deserved special care for sure. Grabbing her shovel, Anna filled in all the little spaces, then watered her little puffapod. Ohhh, pretty! Now her flutterby and puffapod were in the ground and ready to grow, grow, grrooowwww! Anna sat down on the ground next to her plants and softly touched their awesome little leaves. Eep! New friends!
