"Looks like you would rather be back there" Kayla observed. She looked back over to the younger girl and her expression softened. "I don't know her name, I've never met her before. What she failed to mention to Sam, was that the boy in question happen to be her ex-boyfriend and that it pained her greatly to know that he was already off with another girl but she had done all the crying she was going to do about it.
"In time she'll get over it" she said that harsher than she intended it to but she was kind of speaking more about herself than anything.
"I think she'd rather be just with her friend." Samuel replied, a little sour now towards the ignorant boy in question. He'd only been caught in this situation once, but it had hurt him like hell when he found out about the girl, and the boy had been his best friend, so it had felt much more like a betrayal than a heartbreaking experiance. Turning his eyes back to Kayla, he noticed something in her face/voice/manner.
"Has he hurt you too?" He asked softly, trying not to appear intrusive.
