Class Ponderings - 6. Crucio

Sixth year.

The year they were supposed to be learning about the Unforgivable Curses in Defense Against the Dark Arts.

Instead, Oliver was sitting in class, stuck listening to Professor Lockhart drone on about his adventure with the Bandon Banshee, shamelessly inserting such trivial facts as his favorite color and favorite brand of hair potion into his lecture. Sure the guy was good-looking and charming, garnering him plenty of fangirls. And I can certainly appreciate that, he thought, smiling, as he recalled his own fangirls scrambling to get an autograph of the Hogwarts Quidditch god after Gryffindor’s last big win. But still, Oliver was learning nothing here.

Ah, well, I guess I’ll have to learn about Crucio on my own time, he thought, making a mental note to head over to the library after class, as long as it doesn’t interfere with Quidditch practice.
