Amelia then turned to Nicoli and noticed a glint in his eyes. He seemed to be hiding something, but Amelia couldn't quite tell what. Answering his question, she said, "I'm from Lancashire, but until recently I was living in Italy. I worked in the Ministry over there, but it was nothing in comparison to here. It seems great."

"It's nice to meet you too!" Nicoli said brightly to Amelia, noticing the firmness of her handshake. Good. Good She was going to be a good asset. Nicoli's eyes glittered as the thought crossed his mind, then dulled slightly as she said she had worked in the Ministry before. She maybe expecting more from him. "Italy? That's wonderful!" he said.

Nicoli nodded, some people just liked to feel the outside world. What? Out of nowhere the man in front of him seemed to switch personalities for a moment. It gave Nicoli the uncomfortable feeling that he had just been tested, during his own test to them! It seems, at least as though he had passed. Nicoli's eyes glowed suddenly, mirroring Nathan's.

"I taught," he said feeling quite comfortable in the man's presence, "In a decent wizarding school in Roma-"

Nicoli said somewhat flustered by this introduction. He smiled. She was nice. Some of the tension left his shoulders and a light sprung up into his eyes again, "Thank you, Miss Dalton. I hope I can make a difference round here," Nicoli smiled sheepishly and ruffled his hair a little. He turned around in alarm as a loud noise erupted from across the room.

She was dead against the heirarchy that goes with most institutions ans refuses point blank to called people "Sir", so she just went with the flow.

"You should know that we are a team." he said seriously, "I have confidence in both of you-despite how prepared you were for today-" Nicoli smiled at Nathan, "and that I will always consider both of your views before making my decisions." Should talk to Forrester, soon. "It seems like we've got our first assignment, too!" he said motioning to the young Auror.
