Axel chuckled lightly as he placed two pancakes on a plate and poured a cup of coffee. "Well, I wanted to give my wife something nice for our 'month'iversary. This is the first one we're having alone," he reminded her. He levitated her plate and cup of coffee onto the counter in front of her, then busied himself with his own food.
Sitting down next to her, he wrapped his arms around her middle and buried his face in her hair. "I love you too Emmylyne," he whispered. "I always have." Could you say that his life was perfect? Why yes you could. It was a messed up life, but it was his cup of tea.
"So, how long do we have until the children arrive?" Of course he was referring to his cousin, who happened to be the same exact age as him, as one of the children as well. He and Elissa would be stopping by to spend a week or so with them. He was quite excited, seeing as he had gotten to take off of work for a while in order to tend to their guests.
"Can't imagine what Finn has had those kids doing," he laughed. Finnegan was always one to surprise him with different activities that he came up with. "Oh! I wonder how he coped with Vee! She's just turned seventeen on the third!" he suddenly remembered. "I bought her some new art supplies. Can't wait to give them to her."
After finishing his breakfast, he levitated it into the sink and turned back to Emmy. "Anything in particular you want to do before our company comes home?" he wondered, taking both of her hands in his. "God, you're beautiful." Yes, he was one to just say anything random. |
