Aggie jerked her head out of her daze when she heard Fabian raise his glass in a toast to her. "Oh, thank you, it's nothing really..." She thought briefly about asking him whether he thought she was supposed to make a speech. Then she though about it... what better way to introduce herself to the school than to do it right now! Even this very second.
Aggie quickly rose to her feet, but at her height she wasn't very noticeable. No matter. She took her glass and tapped her spoon against it. she noticed a few looks from staff members, but that really wasn't a good way to get the whole room to noticed her...
Sighing slightly, she pulled out her wand and quickly muttered "Anulitus!" A pleasant ringing sound echoed across the room and almost instantly the room stopped talking and looked toward the sound. And straight at her. She smiled, stopped the ringing, and began, cheerfully,
"Hello everyone! I just wanted to personally introduce myself to you all. I'm overjoyed to be here!" she gave the students a very warm smile. She was truly happy to get the chance to be with them. "I'm M.O. Agatha Swensa, but please, just call me Miss Swensa, it makes me feel young again! And I feel so very young now looking out at you all... I would really like to try to get to know you all personally, if at all possible! Of course, I don't want you to feel at all impeached upon by me, I'm merely here to suggest and observe! I'd be happy to have all of your suggestions too! As the new head of the Department of Education at the Ministry, I want to make sure Hogwarts is still, and I'm sure it is, the amazing institution it once was under Dumbledore, Hendrix, and so many others!" Aggie took a breath and clapped her hands together.
"So yes, I'll be Head of Hufflepuff, my old house... I'm so excited to have taken this position! Isn't the food here so wonderful?" Aggie quickly jumped subjects, looking down at the array of desserts and puddings now placed below her.
"Oh, right. Yes, that's all I really wanted to say! You dears continue eating now, and I will see you all around the school this year. And please stop by my office! I don't know where it is yet, but I'm sure I'll be getting one soon! I'm can't wait to observe everything, and help to improve the school! Have a great evening." she finished happy, giving a genuine smile at Rae and sticking her spoon into her chocolate pudding.
Oh, yes! This is so much fun! I cannot wait to meet all these students in person... I should start a knitting circle...
The M.O. has spoken...and the students and professors have reacted. What exactly does she mean by observe and suggest? Hmmmm
