A great surge of relief went through him as he saw James catch up with them; his presence was refreshing in a way Sirius knew he would never be able to describe.

"Where are the other two?" he asked James. "We really should be going..."

He knew he'd probably succeed in annoying her further, but he figured it was better to at least take her mind off her injuries - even if it was in his detriment.
