With a fancy swish of his wand, his luggage was boarded, and he managed to hoist himself onto the train with decent elegance. "Something on your mind, Prongs? Something red-headed, perhaps?" he quietly asked James, as he drew nearer to his best friend, grin in place. He was positive that they were going to make the most of their last year of Hogwarts. Positive.
A group of girls was chatting nearby, and Sirius might actually have plucked up the interest to go inflict some of his charm on them. But he was too hungry at the time. "Where is that food trolley, anyway?" he wailed to no one in particular, hands in his pockets. James smiled innocently at Sirius when he asked if he had something on his mind. "You bet." He couldn't bring himself to lie to Sirius. Besides, he knew that both Padfoot and Moony whould know exactly what was in his mind any given moment. "We'll find the food trolly soon enough, Padfoot. I am hungry too." He said. "Breakfast was a loooong time ago." He nodded when Daniel walked up to them. "Hi, dude." He said. "How is life?" Quote:

"Haven't seen Peter, have you?" he asked, more for conversational purposes than out of an actual concern for the fourth Marauder. Rather taken aback by Ally's sudden outburst, Sirius turned to James and Peter, harbouring a puzzled look. Since when did anyone call Sirius Black pathetic? Smoothing his hair with his right hand, he mouthed towards the guys: 'She diggs me', and took a step closer to her. "What's with the attitude?" he asked as innocently as he could, though it was quite the contradiction in terms in his case. Watching her bemusedly, he then decided her last remark needed tampering with. "Then you don't believe in me? Cause I'm a walking miracle, you have to admit." He grinned, quite pleased with himself. He was renowned for his bad pick-up lines and such, but everyone in their right mind had to admit that he was indefinitely charming. Quote:

"As for believing in you," she said pressing her full red lips into an even deeper smirk, "It's believing that it will rain in the desert. Useless and very disappointing." She stepped back because she and Sirius were mere inches apart and placed her hands on her hips challengingly. A little startled on Ally's comment on Sirius, James winked at him before Sirius turned to face her. Someone likes Padfoot. He racalled her smiling once when she had seen Sirius. Change of tactics. He grinned when Sirius said he was a walking miracle.
He was sure Ally mouthed 'He's weird' to the rest of them. Perhaps she had forgotten she was mouthing it to James, Sirius' best friend. He shrugged his shoulders and watched the two of them. Quote:

"There is nothing going on with Potter, he is an arrogant prick who should learn some manners." she said, crossing her arms across her chest. But as she spoke she noticed Ally's eyes wandering over to the ever so handsome Sirius. She raised an eyebrow at her questioningly but did not comment.
The final whistle for the Hogwarts Express echoed through the station and the hissing and whining of the train drowned out the chatting of all the people. Lily ushered the last couple of students on to the train, and away from the clutching arms of their parents. The train slowly started to inch forward and she hopped up the stairs after Ally's retreating back. Peter Pettigrew groaned inwardly as he saw the train start to inch forward.
"Come on." he growled at his trunk as it dragged slowly behind him.
Out of breath he finally managed to make it to the stairs and drag his trunk on board just as the train started to speed up.
"Oy, Black, gimme a hand will you?" he said, wheezing slightly as he saw the Marauders standing before him.
Lily spun around to see Peter struggling with his trunk, seeming to have just made it on the train in time.
"Here, let me help." she said, ignoring Peter's look of annoyance at a girl helping him.
She helped him drag the trunk on board and stuff it into the luggage compartment. James looked around and noticed Lily, avoiding him. Grinning, his hand automatically ruffled his hair and he walked up to her. "Morning Evans." He said with a grin on his face. "Had a nice summer?" He asked her, after she had helped Peter with his luggage. Quote:

Sirius Black might have been many things, arrogant included, but he would always remain a gentleman.
With a shrug, he returned to his Marauders. "Girls..." he started, nodding towards the compartment where Ally had just taken refuge. "Can't live with them. Period." Sirius sighed, removing the incident from his brain. He would probably have enough time to deal with the girl later. "Shall we find a compartment, then?" he asked the boys, looking from James to Remus. He figured Prongs might want them to linger there, as close to Evans as possible, and Sirius didn't mind it, even if it meant enduring some more attacks to his lovely little self. "And why were you late, anyway?" he suddenly remembered Peter was now among them, as well. James nodded when Sirius suggested they find a compartment, since Lily probably did not hear him, or chose to neglect. He headed off with the others to find a compartment, prefrebly somewhere nearby. The corridor was relativly clear now. What should I do now now that the coast is clear? Snape wondered. Perhaps he`d explore. James thought he had seen sleaky long black hair around somewhere, when his eyes rested on Snivellus. He looked at Sirius and smirked. "Shall we?" He said as he glanced at the always-jelous Snape. Their encounters always braught smile on his face.
