Chapter 21Draco's Surprise

The next day Draco was released from the Hospital Wing. He went back to the Slytherin common room, to find a gang of Slytherins waiting for him. "Hey Draco, nice to see you all better. That poor, pathetic Weasley must have really given you a beating." Said one Slytherin. All the other Slytherins hollered with laughter. "Whatever." Said Draco as he tried to move past them to make his way to the dormitory. They all stopped him, by surrounding him and blocking his path. "Where do you think your going?" Said a seventh year Slytherin. He had apparently become the new "leader" of the Slytherins', taking over Draco's spot. "I'm going to get my stuff for school. Now move." Draco demanded. "Whoa, Who the h*** do you think your talking to? Maybe if you didn't become a traitor, you would know what's been going on. I'm in charge now. What I say goes. I've replaced you in every single way. I'm the Slytherin seeker, I'm Snape's favorite, and I even have your ex-girlfriend." Draco glanced over to Pansy Parkinson. She had a huge grin on her face. She knew what was going to happen next. "You betrayed all of us when you hooked up with that poor, Gryffindor B****." The new leader Tom said. "Hey! Don't talk about her like that! I don't want to ever hear those words come out your mouth again. Do you understand me?" Draco said furiously. "Yeah, I understand." Said Tom with a smirk on his face. He surprised Draco with a hard punch across the face. Draco fell to the floor. "Hold him down! Grab his wand." Ordered Tom. The Slytherins', including the girls held Draco down. Goyle took Draco's wand from inside his Slytherin robes, and handed it over to Tom. "I'm going to enjoy this. I'm going to use your own wand against you." Said Tom while laughing a evil laugh. Draco was helpless. He couldn't do anything while all those Slytherin's were holding him down. "Crucio! (The torture curse)" Tom yelled. Draco was in excruciating pain. The Slytherins were no longer holding him down, because he was moving all over the place as if he were having a fit. Draco couldn't think of anything but the pain. All that was heard in the Slytherin common room was Draco's screams, and the Slytherin's laughter. When the spell wore off, the Slytherins weren't done. "Pick him up. I want him to see this coming." Tom said. Crabbe and Goyle picked up Draco and held him tight, so he couldn't escape. "How dare you too. How could you do this to me?" Draco managed to say to Crabbe and Goyle. "Sorry Draco, but we have our orders. We don't follow you anymore." Said Goyle. Crabbe nodded stupidly. "This is for the Slytherins." Said Tom. He punched Draco hard in the gut. "This one is for the lord you betrayed. Lord Voldemort." Tom said smirking. He punched Draco hard across the face. Draco started bleeding from his nose and lip. "And these are just because you shacked up with that Weasley, and became friends with Harry Potter." Tom said in disgust. He punched Draco continuously in the face and gut. Draco was so hurt that his body got limp and Tom ordered Crabbe and Goyle to let him go. Draco staggered to the ground. "Let's go. I want Lord Voldemort to have the pleasure of killing Malfoy himself." Tom said and the Slytherins left. The Ministry Of Magic knew at once that someone had performed an Unforgiveable Curse at Hogwarts. They arrived at once to the Slytherin common room, along with Dumbledore. They looked around the room, expecting to see Death-Eaters. All they saw was someone's body on the floor. They ran up to the limp body, and discovered that it was Draco Malfoy. He was not breathing, and had severe bruises. He was bleeding alot. "We must find out who did this at once. Lupin, check and see if the secruity was breached in any way." Dumbledore ordered. Lupin nodded and disappeared. Dumbledore personally took Draco to the hospital wing. When Madam Pomfrey saw Draco all she said was "Oh dear. Not again." "Is he going to be alright?" Dumbledore asked concerned for Draco's well being. "He has two broken ribs, a concussion, and a broken nose. Whoever did this to him, it doesn't look like they were alone." Said Madam Pomfrey. "Well, you can fix him, right?" Dumbledore asked. "Of course. I just need some time. It takes awhile for bones to mend and heal. I would also like you to contact any family and friends Mr. Malfoy may have." Madam Pomfrey said as she got to work. Dumbledore left as requested and got two of The Order members to get Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Ginny. He also had two Order members to guard the hospital wing, so whoever did this to Malfoy couldn't finish the job. The gang and Ginny were in their common room studying for an upcoming exam. They were startled to see Tonks and a new Order member entering their common room. "Tonks, what are you doing here?" Harry asked surprised to see her and her pink hair. "I'm afraid that your friend Mr. Malfoy has been attacked by someone unknown by use of the Unforgiveable Curse. Madam Pomfrey is working on him as we speek." Tonks said nervously. Ginny shrieked in horror. Hermione had a terrified look on her face. "Let's go. Draco needs us. Were all he has." Ginny said as she fled from the common room. She ran all the way to the hospital wing. Everyone was having some trouble keeping up with her. Nobody wanted to reach Draco more than Ginny. When Ginny reached the hospital wing, she swept past Dumbledore and the Order and went right to Madam Pomfrey. "Is Draco ok? Can I see him?" Ginny asked deeply concerned. "Mr. Malfoy sustained many serious injuries. I didn't expect to see him again so soon. Mr. Malfoy is very strong and he will recover. He does need much rest. You can go in and see him now." Madam Pomfrey said seriously. Ginny said thank you quickly and went over to Draco. He was sleeping peacefully. Ginny didn't want to wake him so she just sat there, staring at his beautiful features. He had the most wonderfully blonde hair. Ginny started to stroke his hair. After 3 mintues, Harry, Hermione, and Ron finally arrived. Dumbledore told him all he knew. Ginny decided to let Draco continue to sleep.
