As Elizabeth's mind slowly came back into gear, she suddenly became aware that she was crouching uner the couch beside Nicholas, who had his arm protectively around her. She had indeed heard everything that had been said, but she had heard it from far away, barely processing it. Now that she was beginning to feel in control of herself again, she felt her heart break for Orion and Jakob, only adding to the heartbreak she was feeling at losing her best friend.
Sighing deeply she turned her face to Nicholas, blushing slightly at how close they actually were.
"Annabella needs to rest, this must be resolved and I'm afraid...I'm afraid for him, I know what he wants to do and I don't know if I can...Nicholas, can we save him? Can we save Orion?" |
