No, I don't think so. I know quite a few people who never read, but then read HP and now read quite often. Obviously, nothing really compares to the series, but I don't think that means people refuse to read other authors.
They were 12-14, they were old enough for it. Let us not forget that he was also in trouble for saying 'fart', 'bum', 'bogey' and 'pee'. o.O
We're saying that in essance, how people tend to refuse other authors because they're convinced JK is the Literary Goddess that once the series ends the ones who refused to branch out will most likely head back to the video games and television.
