Alex walked into the Greenhouse and remained in the door way for a second. She scanned the room carefully, and finally rested her eyes on Nadia who seemed to be socializing with the third year Hufflepuff, Lee, and a few other people that she didn't know. At first, she hesitated to walk over to Nadia since she seemed to be surrounded by a group of people. Truth was, Alex usually kept to herself and refused to interact with new people. She would rather keep old friends than make new ones.

After a few minutes thinking, she finally decided to walk over to Nadia. She gave her a small nod and then turned her gaze on the rest of the group and nodded again, wordlessly. With that, she placed her bag under one of the tables, but not before she took out a pair of gloves. At the same time, she was still scanning the room, and slowly started rocking back and forth on her feet.
