Text Cut: HER STORY Freya Snakebark was born into a loud, warm, proudly Gryffindor household, only to be promptly sorted into Slytherin eleven years later. From the moment the Sorting Hat declared her placement, she became the odd piece in the family puzzle. Where her parents and siblings wore their hearts on their sleeves, Freya learned early to guard hers. She loved them deeply, but she loved strategy more. Loved planning three steps ahead. Loved precision. Loved control.
Her father taught her the fundamentals of magic long before she ever received her Hogwarts letter, expecting another brave-hearted lion in the making. What he got instead was a daughter who approached magic like chess—observant, patient, and ruthless in execution. Around the same time, her mother placed a violin in her hands, believing music might soften her sharp edges. Instead, Freya found another discipline built on posture, timing, and exactness. She practiced until her fingers blistered, not for praise, but for mastery. The violin became her first lesson in controlled intensity, where emotion was expressed through restraint.
During her first year at Hogwarts, Freya developed an immediate fascination with Defence Against the Dark Arts and joined the Duelling Club without hesitation. Her small stature became an advantage: harder to hit, faster to pivot, quicker to strike. Each duel was a calculation, each victory a quiet confirmation that precision triumphed over bravado.
Though ambitious, Freya is not cruel. She simply believes competence should speak louder than charm. She studies defensive magic relentlessly, practices until her wrists ache, and refuses to lose without extracting a lesson from defeat.
Outside the duelling platform, her ambition, though ever-present, is not outwardly as intense: playing violin in the orchestra, speaking Gobbledegook with clipped precision, and spending evenings learning spell theory or observing others rather than gossiping. She keeps her circle small, her trust earned, and her affection understated but fierce.
Freya fully intends to pursue a post-Hogwarts career in professional duelling or magical combat instruction—and she plans to be exceptional at it.
