It didn't seem to take too long before some students arrived. Still seated on her broom, although in further consideration Jasmine probably ought to observe tryouts from the ground so she could better take notes and keep out of the way of stray bludgers. It seemed there was going to be some more interest in the keeper position this year compared to previous years. With Diego heading to goal hoops to take over from Janice and show what he'd got, which given his experience with gobstones, Jasmine wasn't going to lie that Keeper seemed like an odd choice. Chaser or Beater seemed as if it would offer more transferrable skills, if she was honest.

Another new player, Levi was next to arrive, who seemed eager to get started. She had noticed him eying the goal hoops but decided to try the aerial hoops first. Which was a nice test of flying skills, without needing to be too over-the-top. Oof, she felt bad though when she noticed him collide into the hoop. But he seemed to shake it off, true sense of quidditch ability was how well one could shake it off when obstructions happened.

Tiffany hadn't kicked off into the air yet, having taking a few moments to stretch. Which was more than okay, there was no pressure to be first, it was more about quality of abilities rather than speed. If they had the right form down, the speed would come. What was a small concern was the way Calliope sauntered past her housemate and bumped her to catch the older snakette off-guard. Jasmine's eyes narrowed in concern, but with no shouting or crying, she wondered if maybe it was just an accident? She'd keep an eye for any unsportsmanlike behaviors, but for now, there wasn't really anything to be concerned with. Calliope had offered some sound advice to the younger Hufflepuff, so the jostle was likely accidental.

Hearing someone from the stands cheer for Marina, it was then that she noticed the Gryffindor second year had joined the fray. She knew last term that the girl had talent and the reserve keeper wasn't meant to sour anything, but merely a learning experience. With her sense of urgency, she heard the girl confidently ask Diego for a turn in the goal. She'd wait to see what Diego would answer, but she hoped they would rotate without having to force anyone's hand. She wanted to see what both had to offer, after all.

Unsurprising was the presence of Vashti's grandson Zephyr whom Jasmine took note of immediately on his seeker instinct. The boy was a natural, and she didn't need to take too many notes on him, since he was definitely focused more on his own flying and the snitch rather than some of the other prospective players.

Another seasoned player, James JT seemed rested enough and was in the air before she could say quaffle. She appreciated him cheering on his housemates as he made his first scoring attempt. Calliope's samaritan efforts had been appreciated by Levi, who seemed to find greater confidence and zoomed towards the hoops.

"There's another set of goal hoops at the other end, one keeper hopeful can head over to that end and chasers can rotate between the two in attempting goals." Although there were at least four keeper hopefuls, so they would still need to rotate, but it would give them a little more time in front of the goals.

"You're all doing great so far!" And was there a glint of something gold hovering in front of Cat in the stands?

ooc: Apologies for the delay in my feedback. A quick note about the quaffles; the intention is that there are 2 that are levitating at the end of the aerial hoop course, so once your character flies through the aerial hoops, they can collect one before aiming. Since we have several keeper hopefuls this term, your character can start at either end of the aerial hoop course,... there will be 2 quaffles levitating at each end of the hoop course, just indicate which keeper they're targeting at.
You have until the close of day on the 20th to partake in quidditch tryouts. See the initial intro post for guidelines information.
