Quidditch Tryouts :: Term 72

Jasmine was amped up and ready to go for another quidditch season. She barely had any caffeine that morning but quite honestly, she didn't need it. Sure the house teams lost a couple solid players, but that just meant new talent was on the horizon and she hoped to seek it out. Which was most definitely reason for the high adrenaline levels that afternoon was wondering where she'd find the new talents.

Aerial hoops were arranged at scattered points throughout the pitch, Jasmine herself was seated side-saddle on her broom, hovering about a foot in the air, offering a welcome smile to everyone. "Welcome, welcome, so glad you could make it. Take a few moments to stretch if you haven't yet before mounting your brooms. There's a few tasks today, testing your flying skills, your ability to work together as a team but individual efforts too will also be noted. No attacking keys today." That comment was mostly for two slytherins, but for all.

"Precision and control will be important to showcase, you'll see here I've arranged some aerial hoops thoughout the pitch, most are stationary" But there might have been a trick one that moved up and down to catch one off guard. "Demonstrate flying through the hoops in forward and if you'd like, you may attempt reverse flying." Not mandatory, but it could potentially be a tiebreaker decision for if one were to make the team or simply reserve. "Once you make it to the end of the aerial hoops, there's some quaffles to test your scoring abilities. If we have a keeper hopeful, take position at the goal hoops to defend against oncoming quaffle throws." She looked around for presence of Olivia Rodriguez*, Jakub Patterson*, Indigo Flower*, or Janice Walker* - her four keepers from last year. Surely at least one would be available for defending the hoops this term. {Side note: These were NPC names Term 71 roster that you're welcome to use in your RPing endeavors. Also preference is given to actual site characters over NPC characters, so if your character is interested and has reasonable skills, they can bump these slots}

"Beater hopefuls, as you're flying through the aerial hoop obstacles, there will be some bludgers release at intervals. Show your defensive skills in diverting the bludgers away from yourself and teammates. There are bats available for use if you don't have your own. And if you don't have a bat, there will be ones charmed to float that you can grab as needed."

"Seeker hopefuls, you're to fly through the aerial hoops as you search for the golden snitch. There will be at least two buzzing around."

"If there are no further questions, you may begin."

ooc: If you made it this far, thank you so much for reading. This is the official start for tryouts, which will be open for 10 days. If you haven't done so yet, check out the guidelines for full eligibility requirements. Any questions may be directed to myself or the Wizarding World RP Admins (sweetpinkpixie, Charely Potter). Also, as with previous terms, if your character isn't trying out, feel free to use the stands to cheer on your character's friends who are trying out
