THE STORY ✘

Adrian comes off as detached, unbothered - like nothing can touch him, but as ~teenage emotions~ go - beneath the façade of it all is someone who longs for stability and connection more than he’ll ever admit. His unpleasant past taught him how fragile belonging can be, and now that he finally has a family, he clings to it with a quiet desperation. That need makes him fiercely loyal, almost immovable once he decides someone matters. It’s also why his bond with his dad runs so deep; half of Adrian’s existence feels tethered to proving to the man that he made the right decision by choosing him.

Observant by nature, Adrian picked up his adoptive father's skill of sketching pretty early on. What started out as simply watching the man's pencil move across paper so effortlessly, became a second languge of his own — suffice to say, it's a way to give shape to feelings he can’t or won’t say aloud. Restless branches, skies like brushstrokes, fragments of objects - all end up in his notebooks.

Stubborn to a fault, Adrian clings to grudges and is resistant of change with all his might. Routines soothe him, even as they keep him closed off. His relationship with Minerva his adoptive mother remains uneasy, not out of rejection but because her warmth brushes too close to emotions he’d rather keep buried.

At the end of the day, Adrian is nothing if not a walking cliché of an emo song.
