Never fear, Logan Paton is now here! The third year found plopped himself on a bench, sitting across from his best friend's sister. A quick glance up at the front of the hall was enough to know that he hadn't completely missed the sorting ceremony. Were they on the Ps yet? He was ready to eat.
"Just don't ask Vera for any fashion advice," he told the first year, butting into the conversation, as he ran his fingers through his hair. "I'm Logan by the way. My grandparents and parents were prefects here once. And my mum's up there. She teaches Care of Magical Creatures, and is our Head of House now." He still wasn't sure how he felt about that last part. But he hoped she'd let Beans hang out in the common room instead of down in her cabin now. "Anyway. What really matters is that we know the school like the back of our hand. So give us a shout if you need a guide or two."
Never mind the fact that there were still many passages and rooms that he had to discover. But that was neither here nor there at this current moment in time.
"So ... new head man ... do you think he seems like a softy?" the blond asked to no one in particular. His mum hadn't told him anything about the man (probably on purpose), but, from what he could see, the headmaster appeared rather chipper. Hopefully he liked Gryffindor antics because, well, they could be a rowdy bunch.
