Margaret watched Henry settle in and snack on their sweets. "What are you going to draw?" she asked curiously. She tilted her head, considering his reference to...half-studying. She really didn't know what he meant. Herself, she was either studying or she wasn't, there was no halfway. Hardly anything that she studied in school was interesting enough to hold her attention if there was something else she was also focusing on.
Not to mention, doing anything else at the same time as flying was outright dangerous, she thought. Drawing was probably different though. It's...not? Henry paused for a moment to watch Mamie and see if she's serious about that. Not in a judging way, of course, he just...well, he was a little bit surprised. In his book, spreading his reading materials on the floor did not constitute as 'not serious' but you know, maybe it did for Mamie. "Well, it's a good start either way!" It's a better start than Henry's, which was basically currently nonexistent. "Do you have a study group? We should make a study group sometime soon, if you don't have one yet." He suggested. Henry liked working in groups or pairs more than individually. Maybe Mamie didn't, but it's an offer if she wanted.
Tossing another gummy bear into his mouth, Henry put his jar aside and close to Mamie's box of sweets. It was for sharing. He had more of those in his room anyway, so he wouldn't run out anytime soon. "Oh, I was..." Henry quickly opened his sketchbook and flipped to the last page he was on. "...working on a demiguise. I've been meaning to improve my shading, and with the demiguise's silver hair, it just works." The beast was part of their current Care of Magical Creatures curriculum, one of Henry's preferred classes, and it was a great opportunity since demiguises didn't really have a lot of colour aside from their beige skin and blue eyes. Henry, who much liked working with bold and vibrant colours as the other pages of his sketchbook showed, enjoyed the challenge. He then paused at the page where his sketch was, of a demiguise crouching and looking at the viewer. "It's still a rough sketch, work in progress. It's supposed to be predicting the future here." The lack of colours, because obviously it's still a sketch, didn't quite capture the latter.
