 steps 1-6 ish Who Am I? Ern's 2460FUN
Kale was glad that his point was well taken. He knew he could be a lil intense when it came to stuff like this, but it was nice to be heard. And even lil James was rockin' in the HEY THINGS COULD BE BETTER FOR WEREWOLVES camp. Gosh, he liked all those James peeps.
But his appreciation for the lesson ended riiiiiiight about there. Cuz now he was expected to actually brew things, and Kale was not, like, the most adept at potions. It took a certain level of concentration and precision that Kale just didn't have in him, ok? He tried. But there were so many shiny things in the world that were better distractions than a potions brew with eighteen-- EIGHTEEN?!-- individual steps.
Brah. What in Merlin's underpants?! This was waaaaay too hard.
Still, the seventh year begrudgingly collected all of his ingredients, and started to make a plan of attack. What corners could he cut? How could he get out of doing this whole potion? COULD STEPS BE COMBINED?! Sigh. Didn't look like it.
He took the milk, which he sniffed, and emptied it into the glass beaker. It sat at his station for a HOT SECOND before he remembered he had to turn things on. Whoops! Hehe. He flipped on the flame and left it on medium-ish.
While he waited the three minutes, he filled the empty cauldron with water to approximately the halfway mark, and once he had some warm milk (still unclear if it was cow milk or almond or even oak??), he added it to the cauldron.
ONLY THEN DID HE TURN THE FLAME ON FOR THE CAULDRON. It said low. But what was low? Hard to tell. He guessed.
The fluxweed all chopped went in next, and then he started to stir. Seven times. Or was it six? He forgot to count after three stirs. But it was only cuz he got into kinda a trance. Stirring was HYPER soothing.
