Ash nodded at the professor and wrote something else on her hand, beside her previous note. Then she checked the instructions again, and counted down the seconds. Five... Four... Three... Two... One... ZERO.
Step eight... ADD THE FEATHERS. She hurriedly added three feathers. No more than three feathers. Exactly three feathers. Three feathers.
Step nine... Ash waited. She wrote a couple more things on her hand, then spent the rest of the time freaking out about how to wait exactly seven minutes.
The potion turned purple. Dark purple. But was it the right color of dark purple? DARK PURPLE WAS A RANGE. THESE INSTRUCTIONS WERE TOO VAGUE. This was why she didn’t like cooking.
Step ten... Ash added the other three feathers. She didn’t have to count them, cause she knew there were three.
Step eleven... medium heat(FIRE. No, do not play with the fire).
Step twelve... Ash began to add the armadillo bile as carefully as possible, mumbling things to herself about armadillos.
