Ilse nodded gratefully when he said he’d speak to the Minister about what had happened, then it set in how truly insane it was that Conley was on first-name terms with the Minister of Magic himself. Wait - was Conley like.... like REALLY important? Had she been spending time with someone who was much, much higher in the pecking order than she was? She wasn’t sure how to feel about that. She didn’t feel like the kind of person important people would befriend. Conley was probably just too nice to tell her to leave him alone.

When he mentioned wanting a class of tea, she gave him a small smile. ”I think I need a shower most of all...” she responded quietly. She looked at the clock on the wall, which had somehow escaped any serious damage. ”What time was your meeting?” she asked with sudden concern.
