He didn't want to attract the attention of the other 'eggs' when he was saying all dumb things. "I believe I don't have an inner eye which is why I'm not stationed here." It was better for the wizarding world if he didn't, "I'm, uh, I work somewhere else. Oh sorry, I'm Luth--" He was about to introduce himself when someone else called out.
It was a man that he had seen around before. They hadn't officially met before, but Luther fixed the back of the man's head with a stern look. It was incredibly rude to walk in and talk to the woman Luther was talking to without saying hi or apologizing. And for what? A cup of coffee? Yeah, no. Quote:

This man was not here for his 9'o clock seer appointment. No matter though. He could be interesting to converse with anyway and predict the future for if he allowed her that courtesy. Maybe she should bring out her cards? Smiling brightly she said with a reassuring hand gesture. "Relax, most people don't ever get in close touch with their Inner Eyes. I apologize if I scared you I just mistook you for my next seer counselling appointment." It couldn't hurt to smooth over any possible bumps in the road. "I take it you never took divination studies in school?" And the sad fact was that too many lacked the gift. Raising a curious brow at him Laurel asked "Where are you stationed in Mysteries if not in this hall? I'm Lau-" She was about to introduce herself when all of a sudden Adam walked in with a cup of coffee, past the other guy without seeing him there as per his usual. A look over at the other man told Laurel that he wasn't liking the rudeness. Looking over at Adam she smiled warmly "Hi Adam, Is that coffee I'm smelling? You're a lifesaver. I can only drink one cup a day now." Gesturing to the guy standing there too she asked "Adam, have you met?" Realizing she hadn't catched his name she turned to him and asked "Sorry, what is your name?" Adam heard another voice just after he had announced to Laurel that he had brought her the magic potions that made Laurel tolerable less snarky, aka coffee. He walked up, taking careful steps in case someone had changed the layout of the room from the last time he had been here. ”Sorry I did not know you had company.” Adam looked widely to the left of where Laurel had gestured. The light was different closer to where Laurel was sitting and his eyes didn’t adjust quickly (and sometimes not at all). ”Guten morgen,“. He glanced down at the cup of hot chocolate in his hand. He guessed it was rude not to offer it to the man. “Hot Khocolate?” He held out the cup in offering, although it was no-where near where the man was standing.
Only one cup of coffee? How was he – err Laurel going to survive with only one cup of coffee? He made a mental note to keep away prepare himself for another blow up like they had had in the entry chamber last year. ”Vy is zat?” he asked putting the coffee cup down on her desk.
