Phoebe, Cecelia, Kaiser Mod Babysitter | be curious, not judgmental Teddy had been a fine student all his life, but never in a setting like this. Beauxbatons was a school his mum had attended for six years, so he had gotten valuable intel from her on what to expect-- but at the same time, he wasn’t a student of Beauxbatons, he was a student of Hogwarts with Hogwarts classmates and mostly Hogwarts professors and he was sorted into a Hogwarts house and-- everything was BEAUXBATONS, though. It was strange, not knowing which adults primarily spoke English and which ones spoke French. He had studied French for the last several years in primary school, so he could almost keep up, but even the thought of any interactions with them had him on edge. What if they judged him on improper use of French? He was okay at it and hoped to improve upon it in his time here, but what if people laughed at him because he was just some kid trying to speak French but ultimately sounded like an idiot?
This morning, the only thing that kept his overall state of excessive worrying to a manageable level was the presence of people he knew and loved. His sweetest friend in the world, Cecelia, and his twin, Phoebe, had paved the way for him by entering the greenhouse with enough sunshine and enthusiasm to light up the whole room. He slipped in after them, quietly chose the cubby beside Fi, and labeled his "T.J." before taking the seat at the table beside her. He offered the pair of them grateful smiles - whether they understood he was thankful to them for being his human shields from attention or not - and extended his wordless greeting first to the guy Cecelia had chosen to make friends with, then to the professor. Nervous, but genuine smiles all around.
He began to set out his writing materials when he spied Fi lean forward and... lick a plant. While his brain went NO DON'T, his face and posture remained entirely still. Watching. Waiting.
And then a smile. "How was that?" he whispered, narrowly resisting the urge to giggle, his eyes flickering to the professor to offer an apologetic look on behalf of his sister in case she had seen.
