We then went robes shopping together." He ran a hand over Piers' hair before resting it over his shoulder. "We were friends ever since despite being in different houses."
Um. Ew. Parents being TOO cozy together and doing icky love stuff in public. Curtis did want to hear the story, so he was going to ignore their affection. He knew that next year BIG things would be going down and he wanted to know what to look out for and who as well. "A stolen frog?" He blinked. They never mentioned the frog being stolen before. Daddy Piers STOLE something? And he wasn't allowed to steal? "And what happened to that frog? Did you get caught? If not how?" He was hungry for the info now as he started bouncing in his chair again. Yes, they had gone robes shopping after her ran into him, didn't they? That was an excellent start to a wonderful friendship. And then... you know, their relationship grew into something else several years later. SEVERAL years later. "Yeah, so don't think that you can't be friends with someone who isn't in Sly- I mean, whatever house you're in." No, he wasn't trying to pressure his son into getting sorted into Slytherin. He would NEVER. Piers would be happy with whatever house Curtis got sorted into. But let's be real he'd be stoked if he was in Slytherin like his DAD.
And also just like his dad, he was far too intrigued about the details of the stolen frog. "It doesn't matter what happened to the frog. What matters is that we became friends. Just like you'll make friends when you get to school. But not by stealing things, right?" Because that wasn't the moral of the story here. |
