It rolled around a few times to get closer to her and suddenly, it stopped. Two more had joined! This was this little guy's lucky day! He DID sniff the boy's hand and then promptly crawl onto his arm and to his shoulder, licking the side of his ear curiously.

"Hey D!" Bel answered cheerfully, and then looked at the older girl who had just joined them. Unfamiliar face right there, but Bel wasn't one to let that deter her from being friendly. "Well I don't reckon he's that giant, but he IS lovely." The puffskein that was. "And hello! I'm Bel."

But what was that about names? And who was Sprinkles? She looked at the first year inquisitively and then at the hamster in her hands. LOOKED like a Sprinkles actually, Bel was suitably impressed. She looked at Derf. "So we can just name them?"

ALL OF THEM?

.... except that wouldn't be fair and they should leave some to name for all the other kids in their house really.

"What's your name then, lil fella?" She addressed the puffskein and watched with great interest as it hummed and licked at Derf.
