Lucy played a couple verses before actually singing along, softly. As she played and sang, she smiled up at the plants, looking for a response in the sentient ones. And she thought about her career. And she was happy. So happy.

Paul smiled and eventually stepped inside and cleared his throat. "
You're making the plants feel very happy, I'm sure," he said softly so as to not startle her TOO much. Not that plants had emotions that worked the same way as human emotions, but Paul wasn't always so scientific, was he?
He clapped three times, slowly, and nodded at Lucy. She looked serene in this moment, and he thought it was a wonderful look for her.
"I assume your term is off to a good start, then?" he asked curiously.
"Have you taken good care of our little experiment since we've last seen each other?"
