His current train of thoughts was interrupted by the sound of knuckles knocking on his door. Quenching the temptation to narrow down the person who'd visit him that day, River instead dropped his quill in its ink well, and stacked his parchments neatly to the side of his ever messy office table. "Yes, come in!"
Huh. It looks like term has officially started for him... OOC: You may now post in his office thread! ^,^ The answer from the other side of the door came a little too soon for the boy's liking, and Levi swallowed again, thickly. He considered, not for the first time, the possibility of bolting; he did run every morning with his siblings and Daisy, so he was confident enough he could run fast enough to get out of there before the healer poked his head out at the lack of response.
He craned his neck to one side then the other. This was stupid. He was being stupid. There was no reason to be nervous; healer Reed would let him help around for the term or he wouldn't and he would just deal with it. It was that simple.
Gryffindor. He was a Gryffindor.
Levi loosened his tie, a little bit, let himself in. "Healer Reed!" Pipe down. He cleared his throat, surveyed the office, which was unchanged from the last time he had visited, as far as he could tell. And there were the enormous dogs. They got a wave and a smile; he had, over the summer, developed a new appreciation for canines in general. "I was wondering if you could spare a few minutes, sir. For me. I have some questions--follow up questions, from last term."
