She meant it in the most honest, impressed way possible.
The boy... hey wait, "What's your name? I'm Genny." They were comrades now, gotta exchange their names. "Okay." She would love to be the one handling the button since she didn't know much about Nifflers or Penelope. "Who named her Penelope?" Genny asked with a hint of laughter, "Sounds so human." She explained a little heading to the spot he indicated. "We'll have to hide after I put it here, right? I just hope people don't steal it, we gotta look out for people too." So basically they were on two operations; lure Penelope out and protect the button.
The Gryffindor placed the button on the ground and ran back to her partner. Did a professor trust him that much? WHAT WAS HE GOING TO SAY? Could she see the sweat that was now starting to happen or was that just his palms because he didn't like to lie and he didn't want to get in trouble. "Yes, of... of course they trust me. I am at the stables all the time. I've been trying to train the nifflers all term." That wasn't a lie, he was there almost every day and had the parchment of notes to prove it. "Penelope is the brightest of them all, that's why I thought she'd be good."
Oh names, right, that would be a good thing. He knew he had seen the girl around, but usually girls thought he was lame or at least one had told him that once and it stuck. "I'm Benton, many call me Benny." Genny was a nice name. He'd be able to remember that since it was close to his own. "I did, I always liked that name and I don't have a pet at home. So I named her that." Was that silly? It probably was, but now she was missing and that's all he could think about. "I won't let anyone take your button I promise." He'd jump out and yell if he had to, he wouldn't let her lose her shiny button.
Watching her lay it down and come back he hid behind a bush. "Now we wait."
