It had been far too long since she had seen Carl. Since well she had awkwardly run off that day in the treehouse. The brunette glanced around when she entered the shop only to smile when she saw him looking at the menu. Taking a few careful steps closer to him the gryffindor couldn’t help herself and nearly tackled Carl with a hug. “Carl! Hi! I’ve missed you” she admitted with a grin on her face.
“How have you been? Did you go on your trip yet?” She asked happily, maybe they could forget about the whole awkwardness that was their last interaction? Maybe? She sport of hoped that they could but the truth was sort of out there wasn’t it? “How are you – I’ve already asked that didn’t I?” She laughed and grinned over to him. Now he had to decide how many scoops he was going to have. Or if he was going to have scoops at all. There were ice cream cookie sandwiches, cake and pie! Such a wide variety!
His full attention on the menu, Carl was taken by surprise as Mel hugged him.
"Aaah! I mean, Mel! Hi! I've missed you too. You look nice." He grinned and hugged her back.
"I've been good, just hanging out with my family and Muggle friends. Nope, I am leaving for Spain next week!" The thirteen-year-old said. It seemed that everything was okay between them and he was glad of it, because the last thing he wanted was for her to not like him.
"Yeah, you have. How have you been?" He laughed.
