Not long after he sat down, Hady took a seat next to him. It was nice not having to do the mandrake leaf thing on his own. It was nice having someone that could relate to what he was going through; otherwise, he would have given up about a few days after popping that leaf in his mouth. The blond flashed a smile her way as he took out what he needed for the lesson.

After setting everything on his desk, he looked up, only to see Nicky staring and waving at them. Nope. Not even going to acknowledge that. Frankie turned his head away from her. Doing so caused him to notice that a certain Slytherin had arrived. The boy gave her a polite nod of his head. See that, Brookie? He could be nice. Sometimes.

His attention was then captured by Professor Ichihara. How was the leaf treating him? Was it bitter? All Frankie did in response was nod at her and force a smile. He had a feeling in his gut that she was amused by all of this. Well played, professor. Well played.

Then the lesson began ... rather differently. They didn't have to wear every item of their uniform AND they were asking questions to start things off? Was Ichihara ill?

As everyone started asking their questions, one of the Ravenclaws writing hers down (what was that all about, hmm?), the prefect shrugged off his robes and loosened his tie a bit more. His head jerked up when the professor mentioned all of the creatures that they'd be seeing in class today for purposes of Live Transfiguration. That explained the temperature of the room ... and he was sure Hady wasn't going to be so appreciative about one of them.

Speaking of Hady, he turned to her after the professor asked all of those questions. Why did they have to discuss and debate? It was difficult enough having to eat with a mandrake leaf in his mouth, mind you talk. So he grabbed his quill and wrote on the bit of parchment he had laid out on his desk. Was there anything she wanted to add?

Quote:
  • Because transfiguring animals into stuff is FUN! :)
  • Makes things convenient. Never know when you'll be in need of a hairbrush or something. Makes transporting animals easier too.
  • It's easier to transfigure an animal into an object that has similar attributes. Porcupines are prickly, pin cushions are prickly.
  • Not impossible, but it's more challenging and requires more concentration and skill if the attributes aren't very similar.
