Might as well get a little light reading in while he had some time to relax.

Ansley looked at Kitty curiously as she reached into her robes and he glanced at the newspaper clipping she pulled out as she spoke about them. He allowed her to finish speaking, nodding here and there, then grew silent as he took a few minutes to read the articles. He didn't know the full story, but he knew enough as it was a pretty eventful part of fairly recent history.

"This happened about forty years ago," he began once he was finished. "Did your grandparents go to Hogwarts? They might remember some of this if they were here. I'm not sure what Mr. Kitridge would know..." It was a little before his time, though he'd expect him to know something about it. "And I know the portrait of Augustus Flume might have been around the castle a long time, but he's just that - a portrait. I can't see him being all that concerned with things that don't really affect him." And the actual person had been around much earlier in history.

"I can tell you what I know about it though," he said, handing the articles back to her. "The tapestry once guarded a very powerful book called the Book of Mysteria. There was a secret room behind it and the tapestry had magic that served as a deterrent - it actually froze people. There were also several deaths surrounding the book, though I don't think that had to do with the tapestry specifically.." Not directly anyway. He waited for Kitty to absorb that information and if she had further questions which he was sure she would as he left it a bit open.

Kitty could barely contain her excitement as Ansley talked about the Tapestry. Finally, finally there was someone who knew something about the Tapestry and someone who happy to share what he knew with her. She wished that she had brought her notebook with her so that she could write down everything he said. She thought of all her friends that she had discussed the Tapestry with: Mason, Esme, Garreth, Abby, and Julia; and thought excitedly how fun it would be to tell them what Ansley was now telling her.

"Yeah, I think my grandparents attended Hogwarts," Kitty replied a little bit uncertainly. "But I don't know if they were around at that time." She should probably write to her grandmother later today and ask her.

"So the Tapestry was good then, because it was only trying to protect people from the Book of Mysteria. What did the Book of Mysteria do?" It was disturbing to learn that people had died because of this book. "Is the reason why we can't go in the room behind the Tapestry anymore because the book is still there?" Kitty thought back to her brief adventure behind the mirror on the same floor and wondered if they were connected. "Is the tunnel behind the mirror somehow connected to the room that used to be behind the Tapestry?"
